Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP)
CIAP Background – authorizes distribution of $960 million to the six Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and gas producing states to mitigate the impacts of OCS oil and gas activities.

Alaska Coastal Management Program (ACMP)
Primary tool to implement the ACMP is the consistency review process Proposed resource development activities are
reviewed for compliance with the ACMP Statewide Standards (11 AAC 112) and the coastal district enforceable policies
State implements ACMP through a networked structure where state departments and divisions participate in the implementation of the ACMP
Includes local component where coastal municipalities and service areas voluntarily participate in the implementation of the ACMP
