Lt. Governor

Update!Hey there my fellow Key Clubbers! I hope your July was as

amazing as mine was! I can now say that I have been to Washington, D.C 3 times! I was there for International Convention this month that was quickly followed by a youth missions trip!

As the school year quickly creeps up on us I hope that you are taking advantage of all the free time you have now! Although a lot of it is going to applying for college, SAT/ACT studying, applying for scholarships or derping on the internet remember that you can always put some of it towards Key Club!

Kudos to all of you who served countless hours during the summer! If some of you didn't, don't worry! There is plenty of time to catch up! You service is still needed in your homes, schools and communities!

You all are doing an amazing job! I am proud of all the clubs in Division 39 South! It truly is an honor to be the Lieutenant Governor of such ahard working division! I love you all to the Moon and back! Keep onWorking hard! It will all pay off soon! Yours in Service,

Help T-O Stomp Out Bullying!

List of Ideas you can use to participate in the Governor's Project!

Create Bullying Awareness Posters:Although it may seem like the simple way to help out, by creating posters you are still spreading the word on how bullying is wrong!

“Make it Blue and Make it End!”:Join in on the National Day of Unity (October 9th) to help prevent bullying! Sell wrist bands, t-shirts or encourage fellow students to wear blue in honor of the day!

K-Family Unity Day:Why not host a K-Family Unity day with a fellow Builders Club, K-Kids or both! Teach them the effects of bullying, share your stories and teach them ways to stop bullying if it is right in front of them!

Stick Fly:Have club members and/or the student body pay $1 to stick a member to a wall with a piece of duct tape. As the funds accumulate so will the members bond with the wall!

Mission: Summer ServiceIn need of some summer service ideas? Look at what other clubs in the division are doing! Why not tag along?

Below: Join Mansfield Summit Key Club members and feed the kids of our community! For more information email Jennifer Roca or get in contact with Summit Key Club President Junior Sanchez.

Venus Key Club volunteers at No Turning Back Food Pantry every Thursday from 6:30 until 9:00. Feel free to stop by the First Baptist Church in Lillian and see what they are up to!

Tip: Have something fun for members to do after a service project! For example, go out for frozen yogurt, have a NERF gun war or even have a waterballoon fight! The funner the event, the more members come!

This year I have decided to make the ELIMINATE project our divisional project! Since Kiwanis' goal is to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus by 2015, we need to focus on eliminating it now! All you have to do is hold 1 service project or have 1 fundraiser! Although that is the minimum, please do as much as you can for this project as you can! The club who has done the most for the eliminate project by the end of the Key Club year will win something!

I am also planning to have a few divisional wide service projects for the ELIMINATE project, so be on the lookout for that!

Project idea!:Host a Plarn Party with your club! Create Mats for Uganda! If you're unsure how to do it email me and I will love to attend

to show you how!
