Jesus longs for us to belong to one fami- ly in him, through baptism. Today's read- ings look at three blessings provided by membership in God's family: under- standing, permanence, and hospitality. In Genesis, Adam and Eve, filled with shame, hide from God. God finds them, of course, and sees deep into their hearts. Before God discusses their disobedience, God shows under- standing and tenderness by banishing the creature most re- sponsible for their sin: the serpent. God always understands and protects the members of God's family. This protection does not prevent suffering on earth, but, as Saint Paul explains to the Corinthians, guarantees our permanent, glorious happiness in heaven. Today's Gospel reminds us that God wants to wel- come all of us into that glory. Breaking all barriers, Jesus as- sures us he heartily welcomes all who love and follow him. God's family welcomes, understands, and offers eternal life. Jesus longs for us to belong to one fami-ly in him, through baptism. Today's read-ings look at three blessings provided by membership in God's family: under-standing, permanence, and hospitality.

In Genesis, Adam and Eve, filled with shame, hide from God. God finds them, of course, and sees deep into their hearts. Before God discusses their disobedience, God shows under-standing and tenderness by banishing the creature most re-sponsible for their sin: the serpent. God always understands and protects the members of God's family. This protection does not prevent suffering on earth, but, as Saint Paul explains to the Corinthians, guarantees our permanent, glorious happiness in heaven. Today's Gospel reminds us that God wants to wel-come all of us into that glory. Breaking all barriers, Jesus as-sures us he heartily welcomes all who love and follow him. God's family welcomes, understands, and offers eternal life.

We are truly blessed by the men who have given their lives in service to thousands of families as a priest. As life begins to change in their later years, so too do their needs. Together we are invited to join and bless those who have blessed us by making a meaningful gift to the Priest Retirement Fund. Second Collection this weekend

St. Ann 12PM Entrance – TABLE OF PLENTY Refrain: Come to the feast of heav-en and earth! Come to the table of plenty! God will provide for all that we need Here at the table of plenty

O, come and sit at my table, Where saints and sinners are friends I wait to welcome the lost and lonely To share the cup of my love. (Refrain)

O, come and eat without money Come to drink without price My feast of gladness will feed your spirit With faith and fullness of life. Offertory 1 – TAKE & RECEIVE Take and receive Oh Lord, my liberty. Take all my will, my mind, my memory. All things I hold, and all I own are Thine. Thine was the gift, to Thee, I all resign.

Do Thou direct and govern all and sway. Do what Thou wilt command, and I obey. Only Thy grace, Thy love on me bestow. These make me rich, all else will I forego Offertory 2 – BLESSED BE GOD Blest are you, Lord, God of all crea-tion, thanks to your goodness this bread we offer: fruit of the earth, work of our hands, it will become the bread of life. Chorus: Blessed be God! Blessed be God! Blessed be God forever! Amen! Blessed be God! Blessed be God! Blessed be God forever! Amen! Blest are you, Lord, God of all crea-tion, thanks to your goodness this wine we offer: fruit of the earth, work of our

hands, it will become the cup of life. Communion: SPIRIT AND GRACE Spirit and grace, here in this meal. You are the wind that breathes through the field. Gather the wheat and form us in Christ. Come, be our source and breath of life. Refrain: In the bread, blessed, bro-ken and shared, Christ is our life, whose presence we bear. Come O spirit, make your grace revealed In this holy meal. Spirit and grace, here in this meal. You are the life that flows through the vine. Gather this drink and form us in Christ Come, be our source and blood of life. (Refrain)

Spirit and grace, here in this place. You are the light that shines in this space. Gather your people and form us in Christ Come, be the heartbeat of our lives. (Refrain) Recessional – LEAD ME, LORD Blessed are the poor in spirit, longing for their Lord, for God's coming king-dom shall be theirs. Blessed are the sorrowing, for they shall be consoled, and the meek shall come to rule the world. Refrain: Lead me Lord, lead me Lord, by the light of truth, to seek and to find the narrow way. Be my way, be my truth, be my life, my Lord, And lead me, Lord, today. Blessed are the merciful for mercy shall be theirs, and the pure in heart shall see their God. Blest are they whose hunger only holiness can fill, for I say they shall be satisfied. (Ref)

DIVINE SAVIOUR CHURCH Entrance: “GATHER US IN” Here in this place new light is streaming, now is the darkness vanished away. See in this space our fears and our dreamings, brought here to you in the light of this day. Gather us in, the lost and forsaken, gather us in, the blind and the lame. Call to us now and we shall awaken, we shall arise at the sound of our name. We are the young, our lives are a mystery, we are the old who yearn for your face. We have been sung throughout all of history, called to be light to the whole human race. Gather us in, the rich and the haughty, gather us in, the proud and the strong.

Glory to God in the highest & on earth peace to people of good will.

Psalm: With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption.

Gospel Acclamation: ALLELUIA | ALLELUIA |ALLELUIA

weakness of our faith, and bear us up within your peaceful word. (refrain) 2. Our lives are but a single breath, we flower and we fade, yet all our days

faces of all the poor and lowly of the world. (refrain)

DID YOU KNOW? Keeping Children safe during the summer During the summer, children may spend time at a camp or program. It is important to monitor for potential risks when a child enters a new environ-ment. Ask to see the organizations written policies for the adults who will be supervising your child, check if there are procedures in place for emer-gencies and make sure there is a system for open communication be-tween parents and organizers/leadership. Taking time to check these and other safeguards is key to building safe and nurturing experiences for children.
