DIVINE MERCY – Pulpit Pitch – 2-3 minutes Before the final blessing, the celebrant invites the person who is going to speak about DIVINE MERCY to come up to the ambo, OR Father makes the announcement himself. Thank you Father _______________! Good Morning/Evening! By a show of hands, How many of you have heard about the miraculous appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal and the unexplainable miracle of the sun witnessed by nearly 100,000 people? How many of you know that Pope St. John Paul II credited our Lady of Fatima with sparing his life in the failed 1981 assassination attempt and that the bullet fired from the assassin’s gun is now enshrined in the crown of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima? We have an opportunity to grow as a parish family in our understanding of this very important history and what it means for our lives today, especially regarding the devotion to Divine Mercy. I want to invite you to participate in a video based study on formed.org. With beautiful film-making, fascinating history, and powerful teaching on God’s love and mercy, DIVINE MERCY IN THE SECOND GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD will move your heart and give you plenty to discuss as a family or as a group of friends over the next 10 weeks. [Reverse Collection option] So, as I finish speaking the ushers will pass the collection basket again. However, instead of putting in your tithe, please take out of the basket a card that gives the instructions on how to register for your FREE access to formed.org and DIVINE MERCY. ® formed.org
