Family Prayer
L oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdiocese have appreciated the prayers and love
of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against
violence, murder and racism.
We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives respect to the
life and dignity of all people.
Bless parents that they may form their chil-dren in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost loved
ones through violence.
Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice for life and human dignity in our
community.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help
us.
Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that we
may be a holy family.

1. In the walking on the road, we saw him. In the telling of our hopes, we saw him. In the burning of our hearts,
we saw the Lord. At the meal he took the bread and then he blessed it, broke it, offered it. In the breaking of the bread, We saw him! Suddenly our eyes were opened, and we knew he was alive! 2. We set out to find his friends to tell them. We went to Jerusalem to tell them; and with joy we told them, "We have seen the Lord!" And as we were speaking there, he stood among us, blessed us, said to us, "Now my peace I leave with you." We saw him! Suddenly our eyes were opened, and we knew he was alive! 3. But then we became afraid without him. In the darkened room we stayed without him, wai,ng for the One he said that he would send. Then the Spirit of the Lord came down upon us, filling us, changing us, giving us the strength to say: We saw him! Suddenly our eyes were opened, and we knew he was alive! 4. We ran out into the street to tell them, everyone that we could meet, to tell them, "God has raised him up and we have seen the Lord!" We took bread as he had done and then we blessed it, broke it, offered it. In the breaking of the bread, We saw him! Suddenly our eyes were opened. There within our midst was Jesus, and we knew he was alive!. In the breaking of the bread, He is here with us again,
1. ¿Qué llevabas conversando? Me dijiste, buen amigo.
8:30 am Mass Entrance Crown Him with Many Crowns 1. Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne; Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns All music but its own. Awake, my soul and sing Of Him who set us free, And hail Him as your heav’nly King Through all eternity. 2. Crown Him the Lord of life, Who triumphed o'er the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those He came to save. His glories now we sing, Who died and rose on high, Who died, eternal life to bring, And lives that death may die. 3. Crown Him the Lord of love, Behold His hands and side, Rich wounds yet visible above
1. There's a wideness in God's mercy Like the wideness of the sea; There's a kindness in God’s jus,ce, Which is more than liberty. There is plen, ful redemp,on In the blood that has been shed; There is joy for all the members In the sorrows of the Head. 2. There is welcome for the sinner, And a promised grace made good; There is mercy with the Savior; There is healing in Christ’s blood. There is grace enough for thousands Of new worlds as great as this; There is room for fresh crea, ons In that upper home of bliss. Refrain
So be merciful, just as our God is merciful. Be merciful, just as our God is merciful to us.
1. You are my Lord. It’s you I adore. Nothing on earth could ever take your place. Your might humbles ev’ry heart; the highest of heavens bow. Nothing on earth could ever take your place. And now we see your sacrifice, the greatest giG, our greatest prize. Refrain
Behold the Lamb of God! Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. 2. We will not forget, we will stay awake! We will not abandon the promise that you made. We will not forget, we will stay awake! We will not abandon the promise that you made.
He rose and conquered the grave. Jesus conquered the grave. 2. So take me as You find me, all my fears and failures. Fill my life again. I give my life to follow, ev’rything I believe in. Now I surrender. (to refrain…)
1. Let no one caught in sin remain inside the lie of inward shame, but fix our eyes upon the cross, and run to Him who showed great love and bled for us, freely You've bled for us. Refrain Christ is risen from the dead, trampling over death by death come awake, come awake, come and rise up from the grave. Christ is risen from the dead, we are one with Him again come awake, come awake, come and rise up from the grave. 2. Beneath the weight of all our sin, You bowed to none but heaven's will; No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown, no burden great can hold You down.

Divine Mercy Parish Page 10
On this Divine Mercy Sunday, it is appro-priate that the Gospel (John 20:19-31) is the story of Thomas putting his hands in Jesus’ wounds. The wound in Jesus’ side allows us to receive His Divine Mer-cy and love. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI said, “This is love in its most radical form. By contemplating the pierced side of Christ, we can understand the start-ing-point of his Encyclical Letter: “God is love” (1 John 4:8). At Life Teen and Edge, we increase our love for one an-other and for Jesus Christ. Come and join us!
Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself en-tirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
