    10. FUEL AND POWER

Data presented in this section shows the scenario of Energy in the State, which is

furnished by Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd.

Table- 10.1 This table presents the figures of installed capacity and generation of power in

Andhra Pradesh for the years 2010-11 and 2011-12. The installed capacity of

the power stations through all sources as on 31.3.2011 is 15,003 M.W and as on

    31.3.2012 is 16,069 M.W. The power generation during 2010-11 and 2011-12

in all power stations was 77,764 Million units and 85,160 Million units

    respectively.

Table- 10.2 This table presents the comparative figures of the length of transmission and

distribution lines in the state for the past 3 years i.e. from 2009-10 to 2011-12

Total Lines have increased from 8,64,063 Ckms. in 2009-10 to 9,06,113

    Ckms.in 2011-12.

Table- 10.3 This table presents the information of power transformers and distribution

transformers in the state from 2009-10 to 2011-12. The number of voltage

transformers has increased from 6,155 in 2009-10 to 6,763 in 2011-12.

Similarly the aggregate capacity has also increased from 71,814 M.V.A. in

2009-10 to 82,832 M.V.A. in 2011-12. The number of distribution

transformers have also increased from 7,37,544 in 2009-10 to 8,91,092 in

    2011-12.

Table- 10.4 The district-wise per-capita consumption of electricity in different categories

i.e. Domestic, Agriculture, Industrial purpose for the years 2010-11 and

2011-12 is presented in this table. The per capita consumption of all categories

put together has increased from 952 kwh. in 2010-11 to 1050 kwh in 2011-12.

Table- 10.5 District-wise Power consumption in the state in different categories in low and

high tension for the year 2011-12 is presented in this table. The total

consumption of low tension categories occupies 62.88%, remaining 37.12%

    with high tension consumption respectively.(Contd.)

    10. FUEL AND POWER(Concld.)

Table- 10.6 This table exhibits power consumption by different categories for the years

from 2007-08 to 2011-12. Total consumption has increased from 47,914.47million units in 2007-08 to 70,074.23 million units in 2011-12 which accounts

    for 5.96% increase.

Table- 10.7 This table shows Number of Services and connected load in different

categories from 2009-10 to 2011-12(P) in the State. It may be seen that under

the low tension category during the years 2009-10 and 2011-12(P), the

connected load by Agriculture shared 35.84% and 34.36% followed by

domestic supply with 39.12% and 37.99% and Industries with 11.54% and

    13.01% respectively..

Table- 10.8 This table presents District-wise Number of services and connected load by

different categories in Low and High tension, for the year 2011-12(P).
