Connor’s proposed transfer to the diocese. The Camden, N.J., priest had been arrested forsexually abusing a 14-year-old boy. Bishop Bevilacqua’s handwritten notation reads: “I

A memo recording a meeting shortly after Cardinal Bevilacqua learns that Fr. McCarthy
