Page 12: Displays2010a

Choose books with strongly graphic covers

Could you tell what the display is about….

even if there were NO signs ?

Base a display on color…

This theme is easy to identify….

Book covers, art and die-cuts all combine for maximum impact-Walt’s “Fire Safety” display is HOT !

Page 15: Displays2010a

Make the most out of designated display areas

Sometimes, we make BIG changes…

Bethany’s new look –lots of face-out displays and open sight-lines- yay !

Page 22: Displays2010a

We wanted to increase magazine use at Eiseley, so…..

We grouped our current issues by subject

We placed some back issues in the stacks, by

subject We grouped other back issues in a more

visible and high-traffic area We used eye-catching labels on the files

holding the back issues

Page 23: Displays2010a

WHY ???? Item 6.2 in the Strategic Plan Goals :

”Annually, the circulation of adult

magazines will be at least 50,000.”

Eiseley periodicals need to “pull their

weight” in our collection.

Placing non-fiction books and magazines

together can strengthen the circulation of

both.
