Duplicate Files Finder
The DiskBoss' built-in duplicate files finder provides a
large number of advanced features and capabilities
allowing one to identify and cleanup duplicate files on
personal computers, servers and enterprise storage
systems.
In addition, power users and IT professionals are
provided with advanced duplicate files detection and
removal capabilities allowing one to define custom,
rule-based duplicate files detection and removal
actions and execute them in a fully automatic,
unattended mode.
Real-Time Disk Change Monitor
DiskBoss Ultimate includes a real-time disk change
monitor, which is capable of monitoring multiple
disks or directories and detecting file modifications,
creations, deletions, renames, attribute changes, etc.
The user is provided with the ability to send
notifications, execute commands or batch files or
trigger file management operations when the user-
specified number of changes is detected in a disk or
directory allowing one to automatically manage files
based on real-time disk activities.
Rule-Based File Search
DiskBoss provides powerful and flexible file search
capabilities allowing one to search files using
multiple search criteria including the file name,
type, size, access/modification/creation times, text
or binary patterns, EXIF tags, etc.
DiskBoss allows one to define composite search
queries using multiple search rules and apply the
AND/OR logical operators. Frequently used search
queries may be saved as user-defined search
commands and executed in a single mouse click
using direct desktop shortcuts.
In addition, DiskBoss Ultimate and DiskBoss Server
provide the user with the ability to send E-Mail
notifications, execute custom commands or trigger
file management operations when the user-
specified search conditions are met.
High-Speed File Synchronization
DiskBoss provides advanced synchronization
capabilities allowing one to synchronize files
between directories, local disks and network
shares. The user is provided with numerous one-
way and two-way file synchronization modes, rule-

Fault-Tolerant Data Migration
The DiskBoss' data migration engine allows one to
copy vast amounts of data fast, efficiently and
reliably. The data migration engine provides
recoverable copy operations capable of copying ACLs,
security attributes, ownership information and file
timestamps.
The data migration engine is especially optimized for
modern hardware platforms, capable of effectively
utilizing fast disk drives, powerful RAID controllers,
multi-CPU/multi-core servers and Gigabit Ethernet
networks and allows one to copy data at various
speeds thus minimizing the potential impact on
running production systems.
File Delete and Data Wiping
DiskBoss provides the user with a large number of
powerful file delete capabilities allowing one to delete
huge amounts of files very fast and effectively.
In addition, users required to physically destroy
confidential information are provided with numerous
data wiping capabilities ranging from a simple single-
pass wipe to a 7-Pass DOD 5220.22-M compliant
data wiping algorithm.
User-Defined Commands
In order to simplify management and execution of
frequently used operations, DiskBoss provides the
user with the ability to pre-configure and save user-
defined file management commands.
All major product features such as file search,
classification, organizing, synchronization, copy,
move, delete, storage utilization analysis, duplicate
files search and disk monitoring may be added as
user-defined commands and pre-configured for
user-specific needs and custom hardware
configurations.
Task Management
DiskBoss allows one to execute multiple file
management operations simultaneously allowing
one to start, stop, pause or resume any operation
according to user's specific needs. For example, the
user is provided with the ability to suspend a long
running task, execute an urgent task and after that
resume the previously paused long running
operation.

SQL Database Integration
DiskBoss Ultimate and DiskBoss Server allow one to
submit disk space analysis, file classification,
duplicate files detection, disk change monitoring and
file search results into a centralized SQL database
through the ODBC database interface.
DiskBoss allows one to analyze disk usage, file
classification and duplicate files reports submitted
from one or more servers or desktop computers and
display the used disk space, file categories and
duplicate files per user.
In addition, IT administrators are provided with the
ability to analyze reports submitted from multiple
hosts and display charts showing disk usage statistics
per host allowing one to gain an in-depth visibility
into disk space usage trends across the entire
enterprise.
DiskBoss Server
DiskBoss Server is a server-based product version,
which runs in the background as a service and is
capable of performing all disk analysis and file
management operations in a fully automatic,
unattended mode.
DiskBoss Server allows one to pre-define disk space
analysis or file management operations, execute
periodic operations at specific time intervals and
submit results into a centralized SQL database. The
server can be managed and configured locally or
through the network using a free GUI application,
the DiskBoss command line utility or the DiskBoss
Server API.
Command Line Tools
In addition to the main GUI application, DiskBoss
Ultimate and DiskBoss Server provide a command
line tool allowing one to use all the features of
DiskBoss from an OS shell window.
The DiskBoss command line utility provides power
users and IT administrators with the ability to
automate all the available operations and to
integrate DiskBoss capabilities into batch files and
shell scripts.
