This new location, in an historic power station, will immerse the science centre in the region’s industrial heritage, while also placing it adjacent to a leading-edge energy corporation. The Discovery Centre is aiming high, to become an agent of change for the Martimes. In addition to featuring basic science exhibits, each gallery will address issues relevant to Nova Scotians. Topics include water, energy, transportation, health and innovation – all of great local relevance. The interpretive masterplan APA developed for the new Discovery Centre is designed with flexible use and fiscal sustainability in mind.
