Dear Church Family, This past Sunday, May 24, was a special day. Praise the Lord, we met for worship as a church family for the first time in eight weeks. It was wonderful to be able to see your smiling faces (or at least your smiling eyes). We had an attendance of 110, which was good for the first Sunday back together. The baby dedications that we had the opportunity to participate in were special. Pray for Mike and Karina Harney (Juan Michael) and David and Briana Campos (Sarai Priscilla). This corona virus episode has been a trying time for everyone. It has sparked fear and anxiety on the part of most because of its uncertainty. Even today we receive conflicting reports from some of the medical experts. We cannot afford to pretend that it does not exist or even that there is no danger of it. I think we still have to be cautious and practice some sound principles, such as hand washing and social distancing. In fact I said Sunday morning that we will practice the six foot rule in worship and in LIFE groups when we resume on June 7. We can only do so much and then we trust God for the rest. We have had a large following for the live streaming service, and we will continue to offer that as an outreach ministry. Special thanks to Jimmy and Melba Taylor for their hard work in making that happen. That is one good thing that has happened in this time. I also believe that God has used these past few weeks to strengthen prayer time and Bible study time on an individual basis, as well as remind us of the importance of worshipping together as a church family. In these days stay strong, ask God for wisdom and use it, remain faithful to show the love of Christ as you serve and minister in His name. “God is good, all the time!” In His love, Bro. Darrol Bro. Dear Church Family,
This past Sunday, May 24, was a special day. Praise the Lord, we met for
worship as a church family for the first time in eight weeks. It was wonderful
to be able to see your smiling faces (or at least your smiling eyes). We had an
attendance of 110, which was good for the first Sunday back together. The
baby dedications that we had the opportunity to participate in were special.
Pray for Mike and Karina Harney (Juan Michael) and David and Briana
Campos (Sarai Priscilla).
This corona virus episode has been a trying time for everyone. It has sparked
fear and anxiety on the part of most because of its uncertainty. Even today
we receive conflicting reports from some of the medical experts. We cannot
afford to pretend that it does not exist or even that there is no danger of it. I
think we still have to be cautious and practice some sound principles, such as
hand washing and social distancing. In fact I said Sunday morning that we
will practice the six foot rule in worship and in LIFE groups when we
resume on June 7. We can only do so much and then we trust God for the
rest.
We have had a large following for the live streaming service, and we will
continue to offer that as an outreach ministry. Special thanks to Jimmy and
Melba Taylor for their hard work in making that happen. That is one good
thing that has happened in this time. I also believe that God has used these
past few weeks to strengthen prayer time and Bible study time on an
individual basis, as well as remind us of the importance of worshipping
together as a church family.
In these days stay strong, ask God for wisdom and use it, remain faithful to
show the love of Christ as you serve and minister in His name. “God is good,
all the time!”
