The Diploma of Media and Communication is designed to prepare students for entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Communication and the Bachelor of Journalism at Griffith University and/or basic entry level employment in the communication industry, including public relations, marketing, screen production etc. Griffith College, through its association with Griffith University, teach a well- designed and flexible program which is primarily a pathway to Griffith, well- matched to the syllabus and clearly informed by industry and research. Upon successful completion of a QIBT Diploma and achievement of a GPA ≥ 3.75, students will be guaranteed entry to the related Griffith program providing their rank is greater than or equal to the current QTAC cut-off for that program.

80 credit points is equivalent to one year of full-time study. Completion of degrees where students obtain less than 80 credit points of advanced standing in the degree, may take additional time.
