Qualification DescriptionThis qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. l Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further

develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.

l Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.

Entry Requirements

l Must be at least 18 years of age or over at the time of commencement of the course.

l Completed Year 12 (Australian) or equivalent.

l International students must meet Student Visa requirements and provide evidence of English language proficiency with a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or study minimum of 6 weeks of upper intermediate level ELICOS at approved ELT centre.

l Prospective students seeking for enrolment at acumen education will have to successfully complete a placement test at the required ACSF level of qualification that provides acumen education insight into student’s capability and helps it make a decision on whether the student possess sufficient LLN skills to pursue the qualification they are looking to be enrolled in.

Course Duration Total duration for this qualification is 30 weeks (including 6 Weeks Holidays). Students study minimum 20 hours per week face to face. Delivery and assessment takes place in fully equipped classrooms. Students need to gain competency in 8 units to successfully complete this course.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit TransferLearners with prior learning and work experience can apply for RPL. Learners who have completed corresponding units of competency and/or units contained within the packaging rules can apply for Credit Transfer.

Assessment MethodsAssessment is structured throughout the course. If learners are unable to achieve competency, additional support is provided through mentoring and access to re-assessment as outlined in the acumen’s policies and procedures. Learners who are working in an appropriate business environment are able to base relevant assessment tasks on their workplace. This will be negotiated between the learner and the assessor. Assessment requires achievement across all tasks to demonstrate competence.

Assessment is carried out through a range of tasks like Project Report, Observations, Written Questions, Case study.
