Look and Feel

Agresso56 Self Service, or for the purpose of this document we’ll call it Web, provides access to Agresso

without having the software installed on the user’s PC.

The majority of users, depending on roles, will access Agresso via the Web only.

There are several differences to the current version and before looking at each module in detail, we will

cover the look and feel of the Web version.

Web features

There are a number of common functions:

Header and detail sections allowing you to expand and collapse modules as required.

Tools menu (called the Ribbon) showing available Tools commands (depending on screen being

viewed).

Help icon.

Field help.

Start page setup

Users can define a start up page from My Employment > Options – Set Self service start page

Home

Your most frequently used items (screens, enquiries, etc.) are available as links from the Home page of

your login. To access it press the Home option on the Header section – they will appear under the

section ‘Recently opened’.

Shortcuts

If you want more permanent links you can choose to add screens, enquiries, etc as Shortcuts. While in a

screen you have the open to ‘Add to Shortcuts’. These will then appear, again in the Home page under

Shortcuts.

These can also be accessed from the Tools menu on any screen

Note: If you want to remove a Shortcut, you must do so from the Home page.

Search for field value

There are 2 options available to select a value, for example Supplier, using either:

If there are too many results on one page you will get the message

You can use text /figures and wildcards to filter your search results.

You also have the option for an advanced search -

Messages regarding mandatory fields will appear in a red box when saving.

This is available to view at any time from the Tools menu

Screens

You can only have one screen open at a time. Once you open another screen, the previous one will no

longer be available to view.

Menu

The menu is listed on the left hand side, with details of the module selected displayed above this list.

Along with new modules, existing modules have been named differently.

Breakdown of new modules – access to these will depend on your role(s)

My tasks

Shows all tasks and alerts which you are responsible for /notified of, for example Requisition/Invoice

Workflow approvals and IntellAgent alerts.

Menu search

Allows you to search Agresso Web using either text (you cannot use the wildcard *) or the window code,

TPO002 (Requisition entry screen).

Reports

It is not possible to create browser templates on the Web. These must be created in Back Office and

published to the Web, where they are accessible here.

Global reports are published to everyone, depending on roles.

Private reports are your own suite of reports, provided you have access create these in Back Office.

Personal settings where you can setup/amend alerts, workflow substitutes, your Web start page and

password.

Procurement

This is the logistics module where you will raise/view requisitions, view PO’s, GRN orders, register and

post purchase invoices and enquire on workflow tasks. You can also administer Suppliers from here.

Customer and Sales

Maintenance of customers, open items, free-text invoicing and printing of invoices.

Commitment Accounting

Setup, maintenance and reporting of commitment spend/budgets.

Information Pages

Setup and maintenance of report groups. The objective is to group relevant reports in the same

Information Page.

Accounting

This is the finance module where GL, AP, AR, Invoicing, Bank Reconciliation and Batch Input transactions

are performed.

Common

This contains some of the Back Office functionality such as Chart of Accounts, Attributes/Relations,

Document Archive, Workflow follow up functionality and Dynamic Zoom (a means of displaying various

windows of information).

Bespoke M+ menu

Income Manager

Contains the menu items required for receipting and lodgements, receipt enquiry, reallocation of

receipts, import/export of files and fixed registers.

Workflow

Workflow is a new feature which will be used in several areas of Agresso:

Invoicing

This will be covered in more detail as part of Procurement and Accounts Payable.

Reversals

There have been significant changes in reversal mechanisms in Agresso 56. The new procedures allow

greater control and efficiency in the reversal procedures.
