Bookmark, highlight, and add sticky notes to any webpage.When you return to web pages you have

bookmarked your highlights and sticky notes will be superimposed, just like if you highlighted a book.

Organize your bookmarks by using tags or lists.Tags and lists are different in diigo:

Tags are best for diverse information. Lists are best for focused information.

Access and search your tags and bookmarks from anywhere.Your bookmarks are stored in your Diigo

account on the web so you can access them anywhere you have internet access.

There are multiple ways to share your bookmarks.You can automatically send them to your

blog.You can post to other websites.You can send them all by email.

Groups are ideal for team research.Groups can be private, public, or semi-

private.Great for working in groups such as a class,

club, interest group, or work group. You can pool and organize resources

using group bookmarks.Group members can highlight, tag, and

share with the group.Group members can vote up bookmarks so

important ones always stay on top.

Group sticky notes are great for discussion.Group members and interact and discuss

important points right on the web page. There is a group tag dictionary to

enforce tagging consistency.The group administrator can define a set of

recommended tags for the group.

You can subscribe to the most recent bookmarks by using tags, sites, or users.

You can get recommended content. You can get related content while you

are browsing.

show your interests and it can define your online presence.

Keep in touch with old friends through the content you tag and bookmark.Sharing your content is a great way to learn

from and about your friendsYou can organize your friends into different

contact lists so you can share with them easily.

Find and connect with people who have common interests.You can look for “people like me” who are

closest to you in interests.You can search people by tags and sites to

find those with common interests. There are multiple way to connect with

people.You can invite people to be your friend.You can send messages.You can invite them to be in a group.You can add them to your watchlist.

You can create a guided tour for any website.

You can bundle important course resources for students.

You can reorganize your blog posts to encourage browsing.

To create a Diigo account you go to www.diigo.com

You click on “Join Diigo” Then you choose a username, insert

your name, email address, and password.

Next you verify your email address and you are ready to start tagging, highlighted, and placing sticky notes on your web pages!

Go to the webslides home page:http://slides.diigo.com/

Click on “ready to create a slideshow in minutes?”

Decide if you want to create your show from feeds or from your bookmarks.

Once you decide, click on your choice and follow the step by step directions to create your show.

It’s as simple as that!

You can create a group in Diigo for your class.

As the teacher you can be the facilitator and recommend tags and bookmarks for your class.

You can view what your students are highlighting and use the group as a discussion forum, you can talk about key points.

You can create webslides to focus your students.

The possibilities are endless!
