Technology Technology I have/will use(d) and will use to

develop my music video.

iMacI am able to use the iMac at school to upload files and to upload posts to my blog. Although I don’t have an iMac at home I have become familiar with the layout and variety of programmes, therefore am fairly confident using this type of computer.

Packard Bell Easynote LaptopThis is my laptop that I will be using at home to continue my work outside of school. It is very easy to use and had Windows which is compatible to most other computer, except the iMac’s. This could prove a problem when I need to continue work at school so I must split my work and once I have finished I should upload the files and there should be no problem with the different software's.

GoogleThis is the search engine I will prefer to use. In my opinion it is the most efficient and relevant. Also it is connected to the website I am using for my blog so is easiest to use because of this. Also my laptop uses google chrome therefore is the best search engine personally for me.

BlogSpot / BloggerThis website is the one which the whole of my year are using. It is easy to use and as I used this website last year in my AS coursework I am confident on how it works. The website also allows me to check the progressive of friends and compare work with them. In addition it lets people leave comments on my work that enables me to improve it on the opinion of my target audience.

Prezi PresentationI may use this website to add different mediums of our work to be displayed in. I may particularly use this website in the evaluating process of my coursework. Due to using it previously I am aware of what the website can do.

SlideshareThis is the website I have used and will continue to use to upload my presentations onto my blog. It is simple to use and easy to upload onto my blog. This also allows me to view other people’s work and presentations of other media students from across the country making it very resourceful.

Fujifilm Digital Camera This is my own camera which doesn’t restrict me to certain times and dates to use the camera, and my work will not be at risk of being deleted. It is a 14 megapixel camera which will allow me to capture images of better quality. The camera has an 18x optical zoom, which I will not really need to use. However there are large numbers of settings and options on the camera that will ensure that I capture an image with the best possible lighting and definition. I will specifically be using this in a subsidiary task as I will need images of the artist and the filming process.

Samsung CamcorderWe will be using this video camera to film all or the majority of our music video. It may become quite difficult to obtain a camera due to the high demand for them within school, therefore we will need to plan in advance of the use of the cameras. The quality of the cameras are reasonable and they are a portable size which enables us ease of moving filming location quite quickly.

Final Cut Pro & iMovie These editing software are what we shall use to edit our music video. I have had previous experience on using iMovie however have not yet used Final Cut Pro, therefore I will need to spend some time familiarising myself with the features. I want to use Final Cut Pro to the fullest as it is a high quality editing software that is capable of so many different things. By using either of these editing programmes we will have a precise and effective music video, making the overall look of the task look more professional.
