PRESENT CONDITION OF INDIAN EDUCATION

As per Population Census of India 2011, the Literacy rate of India has shown improvement of almost 9 percent. It has gone up to 74.04% in 2011 from 65.38% in 2001, thus showing an increase of 9 percent in the last 10 years. It consists of male literacy rate 82.14% and female literacy rate is 65.46%.

Current literacy rate in India stands at 74.04% percent in 2014.
