Special School/PRU Network: Developing DCF Data & Computational Thinking Element
Building on our previous work with the DCF in relation to the Citizenship strands, we aim to create a network of teachers to support the development of age appropriate cyclical data and computational learning resources specifically designed for students with additional learning needs.

Leading the Primary Digital Curriculum: Engaging and Enabling
This programme is designed to build upon the Digital Leadership programmes delivered by Darran Park Primary and Cadoxton Primary in 2017/2018. The programme will support school middle and senior leaders to continue to develop digital learning in their settings.
School leaders will benefit from working in a collaborative environment to enhance the development of digital learning. They will review current practice as well as considering an evidence base from current and relevant research. Participants will be required to report the impact of the development activity in the context of their school.
It is assumed that schools attending will be planning the next steps to develop whole-school approaches for digital learning.

DCF: Computational Thinking – Problem Solving and Modelling
The programme will enable practitioners to reflect on their current practice and collaborate in the development of learning and teaching experiences in the Problem Solving and Modelling element of the Digital Competence Framework.
Practitioners will be supported to develop their understanding of the element and how it can be developed in a variety of subjects across the curriculum. Through practical activities, good practice exemplars and activity development practitioners will explore how to develop computational thinking across the primary phase. Participants will contribute to an online collaborative group; facilitating the sharing of ideas and access to an online toolkit that will support practical examples of computational thinking.
