Input Device

A peripheral device used to send data to the computers.

Allow users to communicate with comput-ers.

Convert external signals into data.

Output Device

A device used to send to the user the re-sults of data processing in the com-puter.

Allow computers to communicate with users.

Transfer data out in the form of text, images, sounds or other media.

NOTE:

An input device can send data to an-other device, but it cannot receive data from another device.

An output device can receive data from another device, but it cannot send data to another device.
