Similar email patterns submitted consecutively (e.g., first
name.last [email protected]).
Strange Addresses: cities not common, wrong county for
city, houses for sale, mansions, nonexistent addresses, etc.
Students from Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, Atlanta, etc.
Poor grades from another Maricopa institution (W, Y, F).
Similar classes (BPC 110, CIS 105, AJS, HUC, etc.).
SIF created same day as other students and data similar.
Student SIF states student moved to Arizona on the same
date from a similar state. ✓

What can faculty do?
Identity Management
Respond to emails from A&R and/or Financial Aid as quickly
as possible.
Notify Admissions, Registration & Records if you recognize
suspicious activities by students.; apply academic integrity.
Withdraw students according to syllabus in a timely manner.
F grades and LDA are not reviewed until the semester ends.
Have students submit assignments right away and not just
log in; look for bogus /similar items submitted.
Withdrawal codes 42 and 43 worked weekly in Financial Aid.
Keep grade rosters updated: Pell Census, 45th Day.
