Without your assistance the canteen wouldn’t be able to operate weekly. With that in mind, for health and safety reasons, the students have been informed that they are not to assist in the canteen at any time. With sharp implements, hot surfaces and the need for cleaniness in all areas, it is stressed that behind the counters is a “child-free” zone. Thank you for your understanding and ensuring all children are safe. YEAR 3/4FARM EXCURSION
Students are to be atschool by 7am next
Tuesday 29 October
ORIENTATION
Mrs Brownsmith and our Year 4 students where very excited last Wednesday to welcome our new Kindergarten students for 2020. As expected, the students were receptive to “big school” and had a very successful 1st Orientation. We are looking forward to seeing them again on Wednesday 30 October at 9.30-11.30am.
P&C
Our next P&C Meeting will be held on Monday 28 October at 6pm in the school library. An agenda for the meeting will be advertised via Skoolbag and Facebook. If you are interested, or wish to contribute ideas to any of the items on the agenda, we would encourage you to come along.
YEAR 3/4 FARM EXCURSION
A reminder that students are to be at school by 7am next Tuesday morning, 29 October. Please ensure that they have a packed recess and lunch and plenty of water for the day.
MOSQUITO / INSECT SEASON
Students are advised to liberally apply insect repellent before school due to the high number of mosquitos, sandflies and other insects that are around at the moment. Please note that aerosol sprays are not allowed at school, so if your child wishes to bring the repellent to school, it will have to be the roll-on variety.
BOAT SAFETY TALK
Students K-6 were thoroughly engaged with the boat safety talk held last week by members of the Maritime Service.
YEAR 6 MINI FETE - JAR STALL
The Year 6 Mini Fete will be held on Wednesday 20 November. Each Year 5 and Year 6 student is required to send in two filled jars for the popular ‘Jar Stall’ and donations of one filled jar from all other families would also be appreciated.
