WHAT IS WHAT IS DIAMONDQUEST ?DIAMONDQUEST ?
[ DIAMONDQUEST ]: The DiamondQuest System is a mechanical refining of the concrete surface using specialized machines and diamond tools in successively finer grit sizes. The result is the transformation of an ordinary concrete floor surface into one:
• with a quality sheen and aesthetic appeal
• with an ability to repel liquid penetrants
• that eliminates concrete dusting.

THE DIAMONDQUEST THE DIAMONDQUEST PROCESSPROCESS
Using our DiamondQuest grinders and specially designed diamond tooling, we not only can polish your concrete to
produce a shine, but we can also remove existing coatings and adhesives and prepare the surface for new materials.
With the grinding discs rotating in one direction and the outside larger disc rotating in the opposite
direction, there is no pattern created on the floor surface.
A HEPA vacuum system with its pre-separator accompanies each grinder for dust control providing
a safe, clean working environment.
Prior to starting the DiamondQuest process, any buildups of adhesives or paints/coatings on the
floor’s surface are removed by grinding.
Buildup from pre-existing flooring adhesives such as thin set are easily removed without damaging the
floor surface.
After removing
Existing Condition
Another common buildup that can be removed is VCT mastic and carpet glue.
Paints and thin epoxy and urethane coating are also removed without damage to the floor.
The beginning of the DiamondQuest System starts with a series of grinds to clean and refine the floor’s
surface for the polishing steps.
In the early phases of grinding any necessary patching of anchor holes, conduit holes and control
joints is completed.
During the initial grinding steps, the floor is impregnated with specialized concrete densifiers to assist in polishing and to make concrete dustproof.
Following the initial grinds of the concrete floor, application of a concrete densifier and any necessary
patching (right), the polishing begins (left).
Progression through the polishing steps starts to bring out the shine. This is midway through the
polishing steps.
After several polishing passes the final result is a concrete floor surface that does not dust and is
attractive in appearance.
