Jeremiah 1:4–9 proclaimed in Polish
The word of the LORD came to me: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you. “Ah, Lord GOD!” I said, “I do not know how to speak. I am too young!”But the LORD answered me, Do not say, “I am too young.”To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak.Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you—oracle of the LORD.Then the LORD extended his hand and touched my mouth, saying to me, See, I place my words in your mouth!

2 Corinthians 4:1–2, 5–7 proclaimed in Spanish
Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy shown us, we are not discouraged. Rather, we have renounced shameful, hidden things; not acting deceitfully or falsifying the word of God, but by the open declaration of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus. For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of Jesus Christ. But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us.

RITE OF ORDINATION RITO DE ORDENACIÓN | RYT ORDYNACJI
Election of the Candidates | Elección de los Candidatos | Wybór kandydatów
The names of the ordinandi are called individually. Each one answers “Present” before he comes forward, entering the sanctuary. Very Reverend John Kartje, the Rector and President, in the name of the whole Church, asks the Cardinal to ordain these men, our brothers, to the responsibility of the diaconate. He then testifies to their worthiness.
Cardinal: Relying on the help of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, we choose these, our brothers, for the Order of the Diaconate.
All: Thanks be to God.
All give their assent with applause.

After the homily, the elect alone rise and enter the sanctuary standing before the Cardinal, who questions them. They are asked if they are willing: • to be consecrated for the Church’s ministry by the laying on of hands and the gift of
the Holy Spirit, • to discharge the office of deacon with humble charity in order to assist the priestly
Order and to benefit the Christian people, • to hold fast to the mystery of faith with a clear conscience and to proclaim this faith
in word and deed according to the Gospel and the Church’s tradition, • to embrace the celibate state, for those unmarried candidates, as a sign of their
dedication to Christ for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven, • to maintain and deepen the spirit of prayer that is proper to their way of life and to
celebrate faithfully the Liturgy of the Hours for the People of God and for the whole world, and to conform their way of life to the example of Christ.
Promise of Respect and Obedience | Promesa de Respeto y Obediencia | Przysięga szacunku i posłuszeństwa

Witaj pokarmie
Welcome, food that contains the immeasurable creator of heaven and earth, Welcome, source of all goodness. When you truly hold the only God in yourself, You know his omnipotence, you bear his dignity. Welcome, manna coming from heaven, You create delight in our hearts, the only food that fulfills us is found in You. Welcome, fruit from the garden of paradise, fruitful tree, full of life. Whoever tastes you does not fear even impending death.
