THE COMPANYTODAY AND BRIEF HISTORY

The Directors, Tushar Dhote and Uday Dhote

are third generation of a family which has been in printing business since its inception in 1936 with an illustrious history of 8 decades in

print. As such, the name ‘Dhote’ is synonymous to

printing in India. Their father, Vasant Dhote, was instrumental in introducing 4 colour separation and Offset Plate Making technology in India. Their predecessors had received national awards in printing at the hands of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Late Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru The extended family has printing units PAN India – Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur, Pune, Sinnar and Mumbai. The family legacy in Mumbai is being carried forward by the current generation represented by

Mr. Tushar Dhote & Mr. Uday Dhote, who have over 3 decades of experience in the print industry. Both the brothers have been at the forefront of carrying the family tradition forward and counted amongst the major influencers in Print Industry and a force to reckon with. With its Web 2 Print services under the brand name ‘zatpatprint.com’, DOT aims to provide quality print services through e-commerce for a different experience to customers at large. With the proliferation of technology, it is noticed that Online medium is fast becoming the preferred choice of services. There are very few players in the Industry into Web 2 Print. DOT has an upper hand over these players, as it has a very strong backend thus enabling faster, reliable and quality services. DOT is partnering with one of the leading web integrators ‘Aleyant Systems’ a part of Volaris Group Inc. headquartered at Canada. Volaris is an operating unit of Constellation Software, a public company of the Toronto Stock Exchange with a market capitalization in excess of USD $20 billion which has a global presence across the world and one of the most robust systems terms of services. An added feather in DOT’s cap is the fact that DOT has been chosen as its first partner in India by Aleyant making this project more viable and visible.

1. RECENT DEVELOPMENTS -Though the print industry is growing by leaps and bounds, yet it remains largely an unorganized sector. DOT after careful research has come up with a new vertical in Web 2 Print (W2P). With this ini-tiative it takes a step forward in providing robust solutions for Print Industry making it a viable option in terms of business. DOT’s position of pre-eminence in the print industry and the background of its promoters ensure that these initiatives have the backing of Industry giants.

2. DEVELOPMENTS – CONVENTIONAL BUSINESS DOT’s conventional business is also growing at a steady pace

with some of the big Corporate houses like TATA Capital, Wolter Kluwers, Marico, Kaya, Uniply, ABEC Exhibitions, Crossword, etc. as its clients. DOT has an energetic and market savvy marketing team which is venturing into creating some premium products, which other printers will find it difficult to emulate. Thereby creating an additional product line for premium products.

DOT aims to provide service at 2 levels:- Business 2 business (B2B) & Business 2 customer (B2C). The B2B segment will have 2 models, the first one being a ‘Broker model’ targeted at the tier-2 cities wherein we will appoint brokers in each cities to cater to the stationery business at the local level. The second model would be the ‘Corporate model‘ for clients having Pan India presence to centrally handle their stationery requirement thus making it a seamless process.This will make conducting business much easier and convenient. Under its B2C category, DOT aims to provide bespoke

premium printed products catering to the individual taste of the customers. The customer can be anyone ranging from first timers to experienced people who need a cost effective solution which does not compromise on quality.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

TUSHAR DHOTE – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Passionate and dedicated to the core, Tushar Dhote is one of the torch bearers of the print industry. A print technologist from Mumbai, who

has honed his skills subsequently from Heidelberg, Germany. A true blue technocrat, his passion for technology has made DOT, a

trailblazer in the print industry. With over 30 years of experience, Tushar has been at the forefront of technological revolution in the Print Industry, ensuring that DOT provides state-of-the-art facilities to its clients. Tushar Dhote has been at the helm of affairs of PAMEX as its Chairman and instrumental in spreading the reach of Print to remote areas through various road shows and is also currently the President of the Mumbai

Mudrak Sangh. He was earlier the Vice President (West) of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) and currently the

Chairman, International Relations. A true motivator and leader, he is the guiding force behind DOT’s rise and a force of excellence

for the print industry.

UDAY DHOTE – DIRECTOR

A multi-faceted personality, Uday Dhote in his capacity as the Director of DOT juggles many roles. A Chartered Accountant by education

and a taxation wizard, he is the go to person in the Industry for all matters related to taxation. He was earlier the Chairman,

Finance & Taxation of AIFMP and was instrumental in getting representations of GST acted upon in the Ministry of Finance. His list of past positions include being the Past President – MMS apart from being the Chairman- Finance & Taxation, Hon. Treasurer, Maharashtra Mudran Parishad (MMP), Hon. Treasurer – MMP’s Institute of Printing Technology & Research, Chairman- MMP Awards for Printing as well as Chairman-

Finance &Taxation & Hon. Secretary of The Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA). He has currently been given the

position of Chairman - Education & Training, AIFMP.

He is the binding force behind DOT’s acknowledgment as a Customer Centric organization. Uday has been instrumental in DOT’s growth from a

printers’ provider company to its current stature as one of the sought after Company in the Print Industry. A people person, he has to his credit many achievements. An accomplished writer, Uday is also the editor of Print Bulletin and has contributed many articles to various magazines and publications.

RADHA RAMESH – GM, HR & ADMIN

A HR specialist, Radha has over 18 years of experience specializing in Organization Development, Organization Interventions & Strategic HR.

She has worked with many reputed companies during the course of her career. As a Strategic Business Partner, she oversees the people & process management of the company and ensures that there is perfect synchronization between aspirations and business goals. She holds a post graduate degree in Human Resource Management and in English literature apart from being a certified ISO auditor.

Himanshu Kudtarkar – Head, Business Development

Himanshu has been at the forefront of Business Development activities at DOT and embodies the “Mind to Market’ vision of the Company. A hands-on person, he is involved in all aspects of Operations and is committed to uphold the highest tradition of Customer satisfaction at DOT and his customer centric approach ensures that the Client is always ensured of what it is committed. A man of many skills, Himanshu has done his Degree in Commercial Arts with professional certifications in Photography, Designing

and VFX.

Nitin Rathod - Sr. Manager, Client Servicing

Nitin has been associated with DOT since 1996 and over the years been associated as Creative Head and CTP Head. Nitin’s versatility and his ability to adapt to various situations lend immense solidity to the Company. Currently Nitin oversees Client Servicing (Corporate) along with heading the CTP and Creative department. An active participant in the company’s PSR team, Nitin lends solidity to the organization.

Rajendra More- Sr. Manager, Print Management

Rajendra More has been associated with DOT for the last 16 years. A true professional he is responsible for the Print Management services of the company as well as a mentor for the new entrants. Rajendra makes sure that there is smooth coordination of the client requirement with DOT standards. He is also responsible for the internal coordination between various departments, thus ensuring prefect functioning and coordination.

Prajakta Kanitkar - Chief Creative

One of the veteran team members of DOT family with over 18 years in designing and printing field, Prajakta leads the Creative Team in the organization. An experienced

design and printing management professional she excels at managing high performance, complex process and delivery operations. She is well versed with pressures of dealing with challenging clients and has strong understanding of design, marketing and printing framework as well as conducting trainings. An all- rounder she is actively involved in the PSR activities of the organization.

Prajakta holds a B.A degree from Pendharkar College, Mumbai University.

Sharmila Salvi – Sr. Manager, Shared Services

An industry professional with over 2 decades of experience, Sharmila specializes in Color Management. She holds a Diploma in Printing Technology and has worked

for companies like Comart, Design Temple in the past. Her repertoire of clients includes HUL, O&M, Lintas, Kaya, TATA Motors, Mudra, magazines like Vogue, Man’s World and books like Portrait of a Parsi Community, To Be or Not to Be Amitabh Bachchan. Printing business is facing challenges, but its demand is evolving in different forms - digital, online, premium products (with lot of value additions), packaging, etc. Even in conventional print (books etc), the demand will be there since our literacy rate is not up to the mark yet and the convenience of printed book is bound to be there.

DOT has its infrastructure in place and is poised for a turn around. In conventional print, we have set up a specialized team for premium multi-process involved commercial products. We have done many of such proud products so far. Now we have a clear strategy in place for our bread & butter products on one hand and such premium products on the other.

found acceptance with our top corporate clients and we will try to proliferate more markets with this product. We have a very reputed US based partner as our Web aggregator. This path has not been taken by many printers. So, we have the first mover advantage in the Web 2 Print segment.
