Position

• Biologist Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance to APHA and OECD.

• Ensure that tests are performed in a timely manner in accordance to Standard Methods, Procedures or SOPs.

• Working closely with Project and Research teams for method development and commercialization.

• Coach junior Laboratory Analyst in performing Lab tests. • Maintain high level of data quality and stringent QAQC procedures. • Perform basic calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. • To prepare and maintain quality system as per ISO 17025 requirement. • Maintain laboratory housekeeping and ensure it is in audit-ready state at all time • Assists with coordination and planning of laboratory work • Assists with handling, operating and maintaining laboratory instruments. • Ensures compliance with project requests • Assists with data collection, documentation and compilation of data • Allocates own time efficiently

Education and Experience

• Degree in Biology, Chemical & Life Science, Biotechnology, or Biology-related discipline from recognized universities.

• Fresh Degree graduates are welcomed as training will be provided. Knowledge and Skills

• Hand-on experience in Plankton ID/enumeration and culturing. Those with experience in ecotoxicology study and aquaculture will be an added advantage.

• Must be familiar with Test Methods such as APHA and OECD. • Must be self-driven, team player with initiative, and good communication skill. • Able to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, meet tight deadlines and

multi-task. • Knowledge of ISO 17025 and OECD / GLP is an added advantage. • May occasionally be required to work during weekends on rotational basis.
