My fellow Rotarians, December month is Rotary Family month. This is the time of the year that together with our love ones we will celebrate the most beautiful time of the year. It reminds us how im- portant it is to have a safe haven and loving family members and friends. We cherish every member of the fam- ily and involve them in everything that we do, we share happy moments to- gether and support where they need us. It also remind us how privilege we are of being part of the largest family in the world; ROTARY. Let us share all the good things and help out where needed. Let us let the world knows that we will always be there for them to support and help them. We will always serve. And by doing so, we involve every member not leaving one behind. This calendar year has almost passed. For me and my wife Maureene it has been a most enjoyable year 2014 to meet with clubs and members and see all the good things you are doing. There are still more clubs for us to be visited, but I am con- vinced that we will receive the same warmth and joy as we have received so far in every country. Please take a moment to stand still and enjoy these Holidays with family and love ones and be safe. Be a light in the world and LIGHT UP ROTARY. My fellow Rotarians, December month is Rotary Family month. This is the time of the year that together with our love ones we will celebrate the most beautiful time of the year. It reminds us how im-portant it is to have a safe haven and loving family members and friends. December – Rotary Family Month

Page 2: Dg newsletter december 2014 (2)

All of them have found unique interests in Rotary. As

we have watched them find their own paths, we have

been struck by how wonderful it is to have so many

members of our family involved in Rotary service.

Rotary gives us something good that we can all do to-

gether. With Rotary, we always have interesting things

to talk about at dinner. We are all involved in different

service, in different clubs, so when we sit down togeth-

er, we are talking about humanitarian needs of every

kind, in every part of the

world. There is always

something new to learn.

Our conversations are also

a wonderful way to teach

our children, through our

own actions, what is really

important in life. They

learn about what life is like

in different parts of the

world, and how all of us

have an obligation to help

others when we can. I can think of no better lessons to

teach our families than the lessons of Rotary service.

I hope that in this Rotary year, many of you will en-

courage your family members to join Rotary, Rotaract,

or Interact. Bringing your family into Rotary doesn't

just Light Up Rotary – it lights up your own lives as

well.

GARY C.K. HUANG - President 2014-15

If you take a look at the Rotary calendar, it's easy to see where our priorities as an organization lie. The Rotary year begins in July; in August we mark Mem-bership Month, in Sep-

tember we celebrate New Generations, October is for vocational service, and so on, turning our atten-tion to different topics that are important in Rotary.

It's a great idea to do this, because it reminds us to talk about subjects that we might otherwise overlook during our busy Rotary year. But we all know that every topic on our calen-dar – from fellowship to our Foundation – is im-portant. All of them are part of what makes Rotary what it is, and what makes all of us Rotarians.

In Rotary, December is Family Month. Looking back on my years as a Rotarian, I have seen how important family is in Rotary – and how important Rotary can be to our families.

My wife, Corinna, chose to join Rotary just a few months ago, after many years as a Rotary spouse. All three of our children are also Rotarians. All of them joined their own club, in their own time.

a very good a'endance of District Governors, DG Elects, DG

Nominees and PDG’s all with spouses.

Training classes for the DG’s, DGE’s and DGN’s were very

good and we had good quality me with the classes there

was a lot of Fun Food & Fellowship. District 7030 was well

represented at this RI Zone meeng. It was good meeng

classmates and Rotary friends again.

During this RI ZONE Meeng of zones 33-34, District 7030 was

recognized in all area’s concerning Membership development

on 5 areas. This was during last year 2013-2014 for District

Governor Hervé Honoré and District Membership Chair Elwin
