The Festival of Learning celebrates and showcases learning across the
Devonport City with over 100 events on offer spread across 30 days of
learning and catering to all ages and stages of life, early years, school
years, young adults, adults and, seniors. The Festival embraces
learning in the many different formats it comes in, formal & informal,
inside & outside, with activities provided by different organisations
and individuals.
The Festival of Learning is organised by the Living and Learning group
supported by the Devonport City Council. The Living and Learning
group is a collaborative impact approach to enhancing and improving
the culture of learning within Devonport City.
The vision of the festival is to build a stronger community through
learning, one that is ready to adapt to change, to learn new skills and
take advantage of opportunities when and where they present
themselves.
As 2018 is the National Year of Lifelong Learning and the tag line is
#lifechangers, we would love everyone to take up our challenge of
trying one new thing during the month of September”.
