The vision for the Towne of Seahaven has been a driving force in the Bennett family for many decades. When fully developed, the 54 acre master plan of the Towne of Seahaven calls for approximately 2,800 condominium units, 1,000 hotel rooms, 80,000 square feet of Village specialty retail and entertainment space, a 60,000 square foot conference facility and 30,000 square feet of office. The Towne of Seahaven will be a destination resort with an array of amenities including, full-service hotels, upscale shopping, exclusive access to the beach, a large common pool area with water park-type features, and beachfront activities including parasailing, water sport vehicle rental and guided gulf tours.
In 2005, the vision began to turn into reality with detailed planning for the Towne of Seahaven being developed by a team of industry experts. The first phase of the project was the Origin Condominiums, a 280 unit condominium building located in the southeast corner of the project, which has matured into one of the most popular condo projects in Panama City Beach. Due to the real estate crash of 2008 and the BP Oil Spill of 2010, further development of the Towne was delayed. Based on extensive research into current market demands, it was determined the next phase of the Towne development should be the flag hotel project anticipated in the master plan.
Although interest has been shown by some of the top hotel franchises in the country, the owner has selected to pursue a Full Service Marriott Hotel as the franchise of choice for the project. The development team, well experienced with the “Marriott way” is designing a 225+ rooms, interior corridor, and feature rich hotel. Each guest room will have gulf front view and balcony to enjoy the emerald waters and majestic sunsets on Panama City Beach. The hotel will be one of a kind full service hotel located directly on the gulf with amenities designed for the discriminate Marriott guest of the future, from the full service restaurant, the lobby grab and go or the lobby lounge or spacious meeting rooms to meet the business and group demand.
