The development of the East Asian Seas (EAS) Knowledgebase has been initiated to serve as a one-stop-shop for accessing data and information on coastal and marine environment in the EAS region

The development of the EAS Knowledgebase mainly focused on:
– Compile information from different activities in the East Asian Seas region to provide an overview of coastal and marine initiatives;
– Present the valuable lessons learned from these activities; and
– Share information in the form of: • Resources by themes, • Metadata: coastal and marine related projects,
activities, publications and reports

– Web based content management system (allows online submission, edit and manage information)
– Ensure the quality of information through national coordinators (Data submission & review process)
– Tools for data visualization as tables, graphs and maps

– Country and population statistics
– Coastal development trends
– Pollution statistics
– Ecosystems and natural resources
– Response measures
– Monitoring data (marine water, sediments, fauna and flora)

Development of the East Asian Seas Knowledgebase
The EAS Knowledgebase is a growing database. It will be constantly updated and expanded to better serve the member countries, programmes, projects and donors that are actively involved in the management of the coastal and marine environment in the East Asian Seas region.

Update the Template with new dataset then use Load Data option to upload
the data into the database.
