Developing a PLN has a dual benefit, we are able to learn both form and content:
1.Change is so constant that being connected to a network keeps one ‘in the loop’
2. The tools used help us change our paradigm as learning professionals and leaders
...is as enthusiastic about the benefits of web 2.0 and 24/7 hyperconnectivity but I think of this as a river...one does not always need to go swimming, or even look out the window on it...but knows it will be flowing by just the same!
“Don't have utube (never will). Don't have facebook, twitter, blog etc etc etc. I don't look at them either! I have more important things to do!”
"We teach others by teaching ourselves anew."

What are you doing?
If every staff member was able to use Google Reader, Delicious & Twitter with many leaders blogging, ongoing formal and informal learning could be shared
Collaboration would lead to the dispersion of new tools and ideas throughout the system
The individual would be at the centre of their learning
What if the librarians at every school supported their Principal and teaching colleagues to collaborate using these tools?
quoted in one of my opening slides, I will continue to encourage with this thought...
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in having new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
Marcel Proust
