The AlfaBall R Rising Stem Ball Valve design provides absolutely friction free operation. The valve features a mechanically set sealing feature that provides a bubble tight shutoff against liquids and gases. There is no pinchpoint effect to wear seat faces or ball face. The AlfaGate E Expanding Gate Valve design is the premiere choice when a Full Port, Through Conduit, Mechanically Sealing Gate valve is required for flowline or geothermal applications. The valve provides a mechanically set seat second to none. The optional AlfaKote protection protects not only the seat and gate sealing surfaces, but also prevents corrosion in the entire body cavity and wetted surfaces of the bonnet. The AlfaKote protection also affords lubricity and reduces operating torques.

ALFAGATE S Slab Gate

The AlfaGate S Slab Gate Valve is a full port, through conduit gate valve designed for geothermal wellhead and flowline applications allowing easy and smooth operation. Optimal clearances combined with the through-conduit and full opening design reduces turbulence and pressure drop.

The seats function with pressure acting on differential area. A basic law of nature makes these valves seal, but they are also fitted with emergency seat sealant injection ports in case the seat or gate is damaged. The hydraulic load applied by the line pressure reduces when differential pressures are lowered reducing the amount of wear. The wear is much lower than that employed by mechanically energized configurations.

ALFAGATE 9 Compact Gate

The AlfaGate 9 Compact Gate Valve provides a low cost, space efficient, full opening gate valve for flow lines, manifolds, tank shutoff, and distribution piping. The full bore zero leakage valve requires no lubrication and lends itself well to in line repairability. The valves undergo testing in accordance with the API 6D requirements or any customer requirement that exceeds API 6D.

Alfa Oiltech, LLC through its knowledge of high temperature and high pressure corrosive and erosive flow conditions has worked with the coating industry to introduce AlfaKote protection for those applications that used to have a devastating effect on valve life.

The AlfaKote coating provides complete protection for those areas in valves that used to be vulnerable to the harsh conditions presented by heavy brine conditions and the volcanic ash and sand particles in geothermal fluids.

The AlfaKote protection will extend life, reduce torque, and provide years of trouble free operation.

ALFAKOTE

AlfaKote is a aluminized ceramic base coat and a propriety Ryton-PPS top coat formulated for corrosion resistance, toughness, impact resistance, and lubricity. The AlfaKote system is referred to as a "flexible ceramic" coating capable of bending and flexing without breaking through the coated surface and destroying the protective barrier.

Tests in accordance with ASTM B117 on scribed and unscribed coupons coated with AlfaKote showed no signs of corrosion after 2.75 years. The scribed coupon showed only small amounts of white corrosion at the edges of the scribe, but no undercreep or blistering of the coating was noted.

The materials used to product AlfaKote are not new, but the process as developed by Custom Coating Applicators is. The "Liquid Powder" is applied in the desired areas, and the liquid carrier is flashed away leaving only the PPS resin on the sprayed surfaces. The PPS resin melts at the bake temperature and flows into the substrate. The resultant products offers insulating properties and lubricity reducing valve torques and extending the life cycle.

Alfa Oiltech, LLC continues to offer the latest in valve sealing and operating technology, all with the goal of reducing maintenance, reducing operational headaches, and reducing life cycle costs.
