Blashill, 45, is in his fourth season as the head coach of the Red Wings. Blashill has accumulated seven seasons with the organization,spending the 2011-12 season as an assistant coach for Detroit before serving as head coach of the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins from 2012-15.He led the Griffins to the most successful three-year run in franchise history, capped off with a Calder Cup championship in 2013.
