Our Proven Technology

Whatever tool it takes, we will expertly apply it to help meet your needs. Our technology partners provide thebest-in-class hardware and software for all of your 3D metrology demands.

Our Proven Team

With Dimensional Engineering, you can be sure you are working with the most creative, innovative, anddedicated professionals focusing on 3D metrology solutions.

No Limits

No matter what your needs entail, we will apply our unmatched experience and expertise in the latest 3D metrology technologies from the industry’s best-in-class providers. Our mission: to help you meet your toughest metrology challenges.

Laser TrackerWith this portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM), we quickly take precise large-volume measurements of assemblies, parts, and tooling – in the plant, in the field, or practically anywhere.

The Laser Tracker is perfect for machine alignments. Turbines, compressors, CNC machines, pumps, and more – all can benefit from alignment using this device. With a large working radial volume and accuracies better than 0.001 in., the Laser Tracker simply can’t be beat for collecting precise measurements.

ScanArmThis versatile portable CMM lets us come in tight to inspect and measure complex parts and surfaces. It’s a tool for both contact and non-contact measurement.

With the hard probe we can collect simple geometry on machined parts, while using the laser probe to measure more complex surfaces. The ScanArm’s volumetric accuracy is just over 0.001 in., making it perfect for part inspection and reverse engineering.

Using the ScanArm in combination with the Laser Tracker, we can reach hidden critical data over very large areas with superior accuracy.

Our Proven Results

Dimensional Engineering serves industry leaders in power and energy, oil and gas, aerospace, defense, automotive, process manufacturing, product engineering, and more.

Our Proven Process

No matter what your needs entail, we will approach them with exceptional discipline – from carefully definingyour project’s scope through full implementation and quality control.

Fixed CMMDimensional Engineering also uses a large-volume coordinate measuring machine. It can capture data on parts with an envelope of up to 10 ft. x 5 ft. x 3 ft., and an overall weight capacity of 5,500 lbs. Even working with a machine of this size, we can accurately inspect parts with the tightest of tolerances.

Laser ScannerWhen you need large-volume 3D scan data, this 360-degree spherical laser scanner is the tool of choice. It can collect data to inspect the build of a large piece of equipment – or even a complete refinery or manufacturing plant.

Combining the Laser Scanner with the Laser Tracker or a Total Station enhances the flexibility of the collected data.

PolyWorks 3D Metrology SoftwareEngineering teams widely recognize PolyWorks from InnovMetric Software, Inc.

as the leading software platform for 3D metrology.

Quality assurance, assembly guidance, final inspection, reverse engineering, and machine alignments are all simplified, thanks to the powerful capabilities of PolyWorks.

Yet any tool is only as good as its user. Our ability to apply the proper set of technology, expertly analyze the findings, and help work towards a solution is what our clients value most about us.
