Radial Line Developments- Pyramid

To develop the surfaces of a pyramid: 1. The pyramid may be broken into its True Size triangular surfaces. 2. These triangles are assembled by using the TL of each of their sides.

TL views of lines & lines of symmetry.

2. Construct views as necessary to show TL of each line of each triangular surface.

3. Assemble the TL lines as a development… 1) Start with one line

(at any angle) 2) Locate other points

in relation to the two starting points

3) Continue this process until all surfaces are drawn

Radial Line Developments Truncated Pyramid

To develop the surfaces of a truncated pyramid: 1. If the vertex of the pyramid is accessible, develop the whole pyramid

first. 2. The pyramid may be broken into its True Size triangular surfaces. 3. These triangles are assembled by using the TL of each of their sides. 4. Eliminate the portion containing the vertex.
