Vision 1. For students to have a central role in the improvement of learning in the school through participation in a Student Pedagogy Team that collaborates with the Pedagogy Leaders. 2. To develop Student Learning Communities (SLCs) within the StuPeds – each with their own vision and action plan. Implementation 2013-2014: pilot with 15 students nominated and given clear guidance. 2014-2015: application process (40 chosen), then visioning day where 5 SLCs were created, and vision/action plans were generated within groups. Student-driven, mostly dialogue & collaboration. Impact Student dialogue about learning; student ideas about great learning shared across school; students generating Tech guidance for teachers. Positive signals about what lays ahead. Our Learning Although it is important to have a plan, this has been a very organic process that has been steered by the students – the Ped Leaders found that authentic collaboration and dialogue with students was the key to moving forward! - Stephanie Hill, Senior Pedagogy Leader T HE S TU P EDS ’ T OP 5 VISIONS & TOOLKITS Chief Learners Making learning more interactive - Student lessons & dialogue with teachers; comments on units - Learning Detectives Asking students & developing student-teacher relationships - Questionnaires & interviews - Learning Agents Exploring, observing and sharing great learning - Observations & dialogues; blogs - iLearners Apps & eLearning to engage and challenge - App list & Tech tutorials - eHub Developers Learning through technology using the eHub (iPods; iPads; MacBooks) - eHub Buzz Booklets -
