The Kansas City, Missouri girl came a long way from working in the accessory department for Mademoiselle Magazine all the way to

designing her own much influenced hand bag collection Kate Spade New York. She is now currently still designing but has added clothing and

house hold goods into her brand.

Collection and Season: Spring Ready to Wear 2015 “Escape the Ordinary”The Type of Retailer and Specific RetailerThree Things I Love About the Collection

The type of retailer that would sell these clothes would be some place that sells a wide, playful range of clothes such as Macy’s. I could also see a store like Nordstroms selling this Kate Spade collection. It would have to be sold in stores with a wide range of clothes and not necessarily for stores like All Saints whose color palettes are darker.

I love the A-line silhouette of the dresses and skirts. I also think the kelly green is such a beautiful color to use. It’s not incredibly bright but it gives such a vibrance to all the outfits with the soft touches of pinks. The use of line in the outfits are also a favorite aspect of mine in the collection. Usually i would think that horizontal lines would make a woman look larger in certain areas, but they actually play well with the silhouettes in this collection.
