Redlands Unleashed Redlands unleashed Designated dog off-leash areas Redlands has a number of designated areas where dogs and their owners can enjoy ‘off-leash’ time. Off-leash areas are clearly marked within Council parklands and on signed beach areas. Council also often trials new off-leash areas. Up-to-date information on off-leash areas is available at redland.qld.gov.au. When using dog off-leash areas please remember to: • respect other users • check the signage to make sure you are within the boundaries • control your dog/s (your dog must return to you when called) • ensure your dog does not chase birds or other wildlife • ensure all gates in a fenced area are closed (in unfenced areas, it is highly recommended that children unable to control their dog should not use this area) • be respectful of neighbouring residents • be mindful of opening and closing times • supervise children in the area (particularly if they do not have effective control over their dog) • clean up after your dog and dispose of waste appropriately. All dogs must be put back on the leash when leaving the off-leash area. Please note, on-the-spot fines apply [under Council’s Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2015] for owners letting their dogs off-leash in non- designated off-leash areas.
