1. EligibilityA) All persons 16 years of age or older are eligible to enter the LastMountain Fall Walleye Classic tournament. Anglers under 16 mustfish with a parent or guardian.2. RequirementsA) Each contestant must have in their possession a valid Saskatchewanfishing license.B) Promoters and organizations assisting in the tournament operation,their agencies, and agents, are not responsible for death, injury, damage,liability, theft, fire or any loss to any entrants. Each entrant, upon signingan accepted entry form, will in effect be signing a waiver form.C) Each entrant will be required to have a US Coast Guard or Canadianapproved personal flotation device (PFD).D) One team member must attend the rules meeting.3. Boats and EquipmentA) All boats will be required to meet Canadian regulations and must havevalid liability insurance in place.B) All boats will be required to carry a provincial or state registration inaccordance with the regulations of the home province or state of thecontestant owning the boat.C) Boats may be equipped with electronic positioning or trolling motors.D) Electronic and electrical depth finders are allowed.E) Communications Devices such as cell phones, pagers, two wayradios, marine band radios, etc. are allowed on the boat foremergency use only.4. SAFETYA) All contestants are required to observe Canadian Rules and regulationsconcerning safe boating. any team operating a boat in an unsafefashion will be disqualified at the discretion of the tournamentcommittee. In a second instance of unsafe operation,disqualification will be immediate.B) In the event that an unsafe condition arises, i.e. high winds,lightning or an unsafe boat condition the team may go to shorewithout fear of being disqualified but to avoid disqualification thisMUST be reported to tournament officials prior to weighing in yourfish.C) Each entrant must wear a PFD at all times or will be disqualified.5. FishingA) Only Walleye will be included in official totals.B) Only those fish caught on hook and line in a legal manner will beaccepted.C) Each angler is allowed one (1) line in the water at a time. Sparerods and equipment may be carried in the boat.D) All lures, bait and artificial bait must conform to current SaskatchewanFisheries regulations.E) Any walleye mangled, mashed or mauled will be weighed and creditedat the discretion of the officials.F) Entrants will conduct themselves as true sportspersons when fishingnear another boat. There is no restricted area around another boat,however no boat may touch another boat. No interference with anotherangler’s line will be allowed.G) A contestant must NOT leave the boat to land fish, untangle lines orlures.H) The tournament daily limits will be 5 fish per team per day of whichonly two may be over 21.5”.I) All contestants are required to keep fish alive by means of anonboard live well system No more than 5 fish will be permitted in thelive well at a time Once a fish has been weighed and recorded, nosubstitutions will be allowed, this rule applies to slot size fish and largefish. Any fish deemed non-releasable will be penalized 20% of theweight of that fish.J) No fishing in the Fish Release Area.6. Tournament BoundariesA) Fishing will be permitted in the part of Last Mountain Lake bounded by the following GPS coordinates:North BoundaryEast Side - N 51 06.981 W 105 14.850West Side- N 51 06.981 W 105 17.700South BoundaryEast Side - N 50 51.322 W 105 04.650West Side - N 50 51.322 W 105 06.0607. Weigh InA) The scale for weigh in will be open through out the fishing daystarting at 10:00 am each day.B) Each team will be responsible for their own catch. Under nocircumstances may anyone other than the contestants handle ortouch a fish until after it has been presented for weigh in.C) A team member must accompany the fish to the scales. Eachteam will receive a copy of their scale ticket each time they weigh infish. A team member must initial the scale ticket at this time.D) At the end of the day a staging area will be in front of the marinaentrance where boats will wait until called to enter the marina andweigh fish. No fishing will be allowed in this area.

8. Fish MeasurementA) All fish will be measured with the tail pinched, check bothsides.9. Fishing Hours and StartingA) Start, finish and flight times will be provided at the pretournamentmeeting. In case of a storm, the tournament will be aone-day event (At the discretion of Tournament Committee).B) Contestants who return late will have all the fish in theirpossessions at the time disqualified.C) Boats will leave in flights in a trickle start arranged by number.The flights will be alternated each day, as well as the numbersinverted. Day 1 Low to High Day 2 High to low.D) Contestants must be off the water at 2:00 PM Thursday before thetournament. Registration 4:00 PM and Meeting at 5:00 PM onThursday.10. Boat Identification and patrolling.A) All contestants’ boats will be identified with a numbered decal.A team number will be assigned when notified of acceptanceinto the tournament. Decals will be provided at rules meeting.Place decal on left side of boat.B) If an emergency occurs, patrol boats will be available for aid.Patrol boat personnel will be clearly marked for easy identification.All contestants’ boats are allowed to dock at headquarters onlyexcept as allowed under rule 4, SAFETY.C) Boats may be inspected before and during the tournament.Tournament officials will be checking boats at the launch area.Patrol boats will be intensively patrolling the fishing areas. Anycheating of any sort will result in immediate disqualification, ifprotests are upheld.11. Awards & PrizesA) Prizes will be based on most weight (pounds) caught during thetournament.B) A prize for the largest live Walleye will be announced for eachday.C) Prizes will be awarded on a team basis.D) In the case of a tie the tie break will go to the person with thehighest weight on day 1. E) Any angler found to be cheating will be disqualified and prosecuted to the extent permitted by law.F) All prizes are based on a 135 team field. Tournament Organizersreserve the right to increase entries. Additional monies will go towardsthe current prize structure. Final prize structure will be announced atthe rules meeting.12. Spirit of the RuleA) All rules have loopholes. It is the intention of the sponsor to providean honest sportsman like tournament. In the interest of goodsportsmanship, contestants are reminded the spirit of the rule willprevail in all judgments.13. ProtestsA) Any contestant has the right to make a protest against anothercontestant. A protest form is available from the tournament chairmanand filled out, and presented to the chairman within one hour of close ofthe fishing day.B) A special protest committee will convene for the purpose ofdetermining action. Both parties and possible witnesses may be calledbefore the committee. The committee will meet within three (3) hoursof any protest being formally presented.C) A $150.00 protest fee will be required to accompany any formalprotest. The fee is to be returned if the protest is found valid by theProtest committee. If found invalid, the fee will not be refunded.The decision of the protest committee is final in all cases.14. MiscellaneousA) All questions or problems relating to the rules of this tournament areto refer to the tournament committee. Their decision will be final in allcases. No other person can be considered a spokesman for the rulesduring the tournament.B) If one of the two-team members drops out before the tournament,they may be replaced by the choice of the remaining team member.The chairman MUST be notified of the change BEFORE thetournament. NO substitutions allowed after the tournament has started.C) If an entire team drops out before the tournament, the place will befilled by the tournament chairman and not the choice of the team thatdrops out. Entry will be refunded ONLY if notice is given at least 14days prior to the start of the tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS.15. AmendmentsAny amendments, additions or deletions of these rules will beannounced at the pre-tournament rules meeting.
