• The S12ZVH features two 5V regulators

− Main internal regulator (up to 70 mA). Expandable via ballast.

− Dedicated regulator for CANPHY. Requires external ballast.

• The main regulator can supply other 5V peripherals on the board.

• The ballast is a PNP transistor controlled by the BCTL or BCTLC pins.

• Can continuously regulate inputs up to 18V. The module can withstand transients of up to 40V when less than 400 mS.

• The S12ZVH MCU includes a CANPHY module that allows

direct interaction with the CAN bus.

• It is internally connected to MSCAN, but can be bypassed to

use external CANPHY if required.

• High speed capable (1 Mbit/s)

• Includes SPLIT pin for recessive level stabilization
