Hello from Durango: Merry Christmas to All: Here comes our favorite season of the year – beautiful snow covered mountains and pines – trying to find the perfect Christmas tree, decorating the house with twinkling lights, finding pretty paper to wrap those special gifts – happy times with family & friends.
Get ready for our fun “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas Time” Dinner Dance on Friday, December 11th. The club will furnish the main dish and everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will eat at 6:30 p.m. and then dance the night away to Christmas music favorites which our great caller, Richard Berry, always finds for us and end the evening in a friendship circle to sing “Silent Night”
We are dark December 4th because of set up for the craft fair. Please stop by on Saturday December 5th and purchase some of Judy’s goodies which funds our club for another year of dancing. We will also be dark on December 25th and January 1st. We will be back dancing January 8th and will start our 2016 Beginner Classes on February 5th, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The first three (3) lessons will be free and thereafter $3.50 per person, so if you know anyone who wants to try out the fun of square dancing or brush up on skills they learned long ago, please invite them to come. Getting new people dancing is the best way to keep our club and square dancing vital and growing.
We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and lots of joyful dancing.

Hello from Santa Fe!
In November, Depot-ites were grateful for wonderful
encounters with inspiring square dancers. The Depot continues
to overflow with new Dancers, Depot Angels and Visitors
from other clubs. But there is always room for YOU! THANK
YOU ASDC for the fantastic opportunity for our students to
learn from Dee Dee Doughtery at the Nov 21 Anniversary
Dance. We were honored to assist the Crazy 8s in raising
money for the Fisher House and providing care packages for
the troops at their Veteran’s Dance on Nov 10 as this month’s
Depot Sunshine Committee Project. THANK YOU to all the
Square Dance Vets who have served our country so well. As
usual, check out all of our pics on Facebook and our club
You can find all the information on events held at the ASDC and more on our WEBSITE.

On behalf of the Crazy Eights, Bill Trent, and Delbert Teeple, thank you to everyone who attended and helped with the veterans' dance on November 10. We had six squares -- half of them veterans -- Our oldest veteran is 91; a female veteran holds the record (33 years) for longest time in service.Thank you to those who helped decorate the hall, the callers who were there for us, those who danced and donated $355 to Fisher House and brought items for the deployed troops, and to those who helped clean the hall after the dance. A special "thank you" to Pastians Bakery for the gorgeous cake that they donated in honor of our veterans. A big thank you to Rick and Betty Follett. Without them this dance would never have happened and it was a great celebration for our vets and their service to our country.God bless our veterans, and God bless America!!
and Crazy Eights join forces once again for a little holiday cheer with our annual
Christmas Party.
This year the get together will be at the ASDC in the large hall from 1:00 till 4:00pm. Turkey and Ham are provided and each of you is invited to join us and to bring a dish to share, your favorite holiday dessert, salad, side dish or hors d’oeuvres.
It's a holiday pot luck meal, with a tip or two thrown in for fun.
We are initiating a new calling system since we are in danger of not having
enough dancers to hold a dance on our regular dance nights. We are asking
our members AND anyone who is planning to come dance with us on
either the 2nd or 4th Saturday nights of a month to please RSVP no later than noon on the Thursday before dance
night to let us know yes or no if planning to come to the dance. We need to get a head count of at least 8 and hopefully 10 dancers and we need to notify our caller so he does not make
a long trip for nothing.
Please call or e-mail anyone on our contact list.

Christmas Peace, Joy, Love and Happy, healthy New Year from the Sierra Twirlers to all. Our club is having a great time with the new dancers. They are catching on fast and eager to learn. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving potluck and had about 40 people to share in the festivities. We heard how much fun everyone had at the Dunes Dance which Alamo hosted. The club has been invited to dance for the City’s Old Time Christmas downtown on December 11th. A fun and friendly event. The streets are blocked off and warming fire pits are set up for participants to gather around. Carolers stroll and sing. The stores are open and serve lots of tasty refreshments. We will be sharing the auditorium with the Line Dancers and the Community Chorus. We are all looking forward to an exciting evening. Yellow Rocks to All
