Outside of this building an artist created symmetrical gardens that included ornate fountains with still water. 5.-Describe what is the inside/outside the building

The building as we can see was built from 1631 to 1634 then all of the decorations inside and outside of the building are according to this age, in the next photos I’ll describe the most emblematic things of this beauty building.

A grand canal are construct to the west of the garden and running about a mile long and it was used for naval demonstrations and had gondolas.

One of the most famous rooms in the palace are the “Galerie des Glaces” (Hall of mirrors). The former is characterized by 17 wide, arcaded mirrors opposite 17 windows, glass chandeliers hang from its arched, ornately painted ceiling, and gilded statues and reliefs border its walls. The hall is flanked on opposite ends bye the equally striking Salon of peace and salon of war.

The peace salon is located at the southern end of the hall of mirrors, the main painting on the ceiling shows France being carried in a chariot drawn be peace doves. The chariot is followed by glory and immortality as well as symbols referring to peace reached through marriages. The fireplace is carver from green marble and is accompanied by two lions. There is large oval shape above the fireplace.

The war salon in general décor depicts the victories of France. It was used marble to adorn the walls an six tophies. The salon is placed as the very las room of the kings apartament. Louis XIV is strongly represented by a large relief of the sun king himself on horseback defeating his enemies. Ther is also portrait of Louis XIV.

The Grand Trianon and the late 18th century petit trianon, which were built as private residences for the royal family and special guests.

El Gran Trianón es de estilo clásico francés mezclado con italianismos. El color rosa de la piedra otorga al conjunto una apariencia especial. Se entra en el patio por una cancela: a la derecha se encuentra el edificio norte. A la izquierda el edificio del Sur cubierto por un tejado plano, con balaustrada. El material utilizado para los muros es de piedra dorada; las columnas son de mármol rosa delLanguedoc decoradas con capiteles de mármol de Carrara. En el fondo del palacio, una galería hace comunicar los edificios del Norte y del Centro, como lo quiso Luis XIV. No se trata de un peristilo, dado que esta galería rodea, por completo, el patio. La galería fue diseñada porRobert de Cotte. La sala de los servicios está situada detrás del

Sur. Por último, un ala perpendicular al edificio norte es llamadaTrianón-sous-bois. Los jardines son simples y decorados, entre otros, por un surtidor de agua diseñado por Mansart en 1703.
