What is descriptive?

Descriptive Text is a kind of text with a purpose to give information of

particular thing, animal, person, or others.

The Generic Structure

Identification: Identifies phenomenon to be described.

Description: Describes parts, qualities, characteristics, etc.

Language features

• Focus on the specific participant

(My English teacher, my sister, Me)• Use of Simple Present Tense

(She has long black hair )• Use of descriptive adjectives (blue eyes,

fair skin)

What are adjectives?
