Yoga for everybody

Today everyone knows that a healthy physical favors a vital and optimistic mind, and that a balanced mind directly affects overall health.

Our environment is often aggressive and destabilizing, and it af-fects us deeply.

Working the mind is a great challenge that, every day, psycholo-gists, educators, neurologists, etc., are used to fund

But each of us has an invaluable tool with which to fortify our physical and mental health, although the exterior and the circum-stances around us: our body.

And the system that best integrates physical exercise, mental balance and spiritual calm is, without doubt, the Yoga.

All we can improve our health actively

Yoga it’s for everybody!

Whenever we contemplate the sea, every time we look at the stars, every time we play with our kids, whenever we enjoy a job well done, whenever we care to help someone, we are doing Yoga spontaneously, un-consciously.

Those moments of happiness and tranquility make our mind, body and spirit form a solid and stable Union.

Many reputed universities and researchers in the world now agree that that welfare state keeps our health in their best.

But those moments, even if they are intense and powerful, are few, and usually depend on external circumstances, again.

Unless we generate those cir-cumstances in an autonomous way.

And, how?

In a very simple way: using our body consciously doing Yoga.

Yoga is within us naturally

If yoga is within us, it will be something simple to bring conscious into a practice and effective.

That’s what motivates us on Discovering Yoga: doing yoga again to be part of our physiognomy, our mental state, our calm, naturally, close, understandable.

Discovering yoga in ourselves we will have the proof that all that potential of health and balance exists in each of us.

It will be our backs it will be our neck, will be our arms and legs, will be our hands and feet, who put an end to our sorrows, calm our anxiety, and who give us space and time devoted ourselves.

We will discover that, with continued practice we will obtain many benefits physical, mental and spiritual, and realize that they are all interconnected.

Regardless of what our mo-tives, the practice of yoga is a path whose the greatest suc-cess will be to follow it.

An asana (posture) is very beautiful if well executed, but the most important is the conscious implementation, thoughtful presence in every movement, and the observa-tion and oneness between our mind and our body.

The body responds to exercise recovering naturally, by itself, and in due time, its missing elasticity and strength.

Therefore, the mind must not come to obsess about it, but simply handle its own exer-cises, which are the interioriza-tion, the observation, and the awareness.

Because yoga is not a compe-tition, nor between people or with ourselves.

Consciously practicing Yoga

Yoga through the science

According to Dr. Alan Kristal, Division of Public Health Hutchinson Center (http://www.fhcrc.org/en/news/releases/2009/08/yoga.html):

“Yoga stimulates the production of dopamine, which makes us feel satisfied sooner and there-fore helps us to eat less during the day and also to become aware of the mind-body connection, enables us to improve our eating habits”

Dr. Karen Sherman of the University of York in England, said that (http://www.york.ac.uk/search/?q=yoga&btnG=Search&site=yorkweb&client=yorkweb&output=xml_no_dtd&proxystylesheet=yorkweb):

“Yoga would be even more effective than drugs or other treatments for back pain, chronic or re-current”

Practicing yoga three times a week would regu-late the production of certain neurotransmit-ters, Dr. Chris Streeter, Boston University, says (http://www.bu.edu/phpbin/search/?dir=1&maps=1&q=yoga&search=Search):

“Yoga helps to increase levels of GABA, which is deficient in people with depression”

According to the therapist Aaron Mattes, State University of Wisconsin (http://www.wisc.edu/search/?cx=001601028090761970182%3A2g0iwqsnk2m&cof=FORID%3A10&q=yoga&search_button=Go%21):

“Yoga improves flexibility by causing stretching the muscles, joints and tendons. This is impor-tant for overall health, for good flexibility would reduce the risk of joint pain and loss of mobility “

Professor Victor Angel, University of Bar-celona, explains (http://www.uab.es/cerca.html?query=yoga&x=0&y=0):

“Yoga starts from the fact that the body and the mind are connected, thus relaxing the body, is achieved also relax the mind, which helps to better manage stressful situations and take a more restful lifestyle”

A study by Yale University found that prac-ticing yoga at least three times a week to im-prove heart health by 70%. According to Satish Sivasankaran cardiologist (http://google.yale.edu/search?q=yoga&btnG.x=12&btnG.y=8&btnG=Search&sort=date%3AD%3AL%3Ad1&output=xml_no_dtd&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF-8&proxyreload=1&client=bluesite_frontend&proxystylesheet=bluesite_frontend&site=Yale_University):

“This may be because the yoga improves flex-ibility of blood vessels and the heart muscle function and reduce blood pressure.”

In a study of 123 diabetics, Dr. Shreelaxmi Hegde, the Srinivas Institute of Medical Sci-ence, explains that in India found that (http://www.indianexpress.com/news/yoga-shows-some-benefits-for-diabetes/841804):

“Patients who did yoga had lower sugar levels and controlled, and a lower risk of complications, such as retinopathy and cardiopathies”

According to Dr. Cathryn Booth-LaForce, Uni-versity of Washington (http://www.washing-ton.edu/search/?cx=001967960132951597331%3A04hcho0_drk&cof=FORID%3A0&q=yoga&sa=Go):

“Yoga, reduces stress and regulates the nerv-ous system reactions, making it easier to fall asleep and get a deeper sleep. If you suffer from insomnia, a yoga class a week is highly recom-mended “

In health, we will enjoy a more efficient physi-ological functioning, a more effective interaction with the environment, it will cause beneficial ef-fects on the respiratory system, we will reduce the probability of heart attacks, will achieve a more youthful appearance, improved health and longevity in elderly. Will reduce the need for medical attention, and we’ll get a reduced inci-dence of disease.

In our social behavior we shall have cultivated a self-image improved, thanks to the previous personality development. We will have a faster recovery from stress and a reduction in caf-feine, snuff, alcohol and drugs.

And in managing business and personal or pro-fessional projects, we will acquire increased productivity, improved relationships at work, greater relaxation and lower physiological stress, and better health- performance at work and satisfaction.

Are Holen, Norwegian psychiatrist (http://es.acem.com/):

“Recent research shows that people who medi-tate have a thicker layer of the cerebral cortex. Another study shows that meditators live long-er. At low stress, lowers cortisol and raises the immune system itself, and also affects a num-ber of substances that control tumor cells. It af-fects the immune system, anticarcinogenic and heart”

Sara Lazar, Massachusetts General Hospital (United States) said (http://www.massgeneral.org/search.aspx?q=yoga&st=0&x=32&y=8):

“Although the practice of meditation is associ-ated with a sense of peace and physical relaxa-tion, its practitioners claim that also provides cognitive and psychological benefits that con-tinue throughout the day, after the session”

Judson A. Brewer, professor of psychiatry and lead author of the study, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sci-ences notes that (http://www.pnas.org/search?fulltext=Judson+A.+Brewer+meditation&submit=yes):

“The ability of meditation to help people stay fo-cused on the moment has been associated with increased happiness.”

“It has been shown that meditation helps in a variety of health problems, such as quitting smoking, coping with cancer and even prevent psoriasis»

According to researchers at Yale University have conducted a study using brain imaging:

“People who practice meditation are often able to” turn off “the areas of the brain associated with daydreaming and wandering as well as psychiatric disorders such as autism and schiz-ophrenia”

... And with Yoga, we will discover meditation.

Yoga & personal developing

In a very light way, and as a finishing touch to our yoga session, we will introduce a brief guid-ed meditation, so that, bit by bit, class to class, we learn to make this meditation practice an in-strument to draw on in our lives daily.

With this we will insist actively on our wellbeing becoming managers of our own health:

In the physical aspect, we will diminish the ten-sion, we will calm the psychosomatic ailments caused by this tension, we will diminish the mood that favor the stress, we will regulate blood pressure, we strengthen our immune sys-tem, and delay our aging process.

On the psychological level, we will achieve states of calm, tranquility, we will energyze our psyche, we will move away concerns, we will integrate psychologically, will bring clarity, en-hance the feeling of no psychological depend-ence, and we will foster the development of per-sonality.

In our work we will improve active concentra-tion, we will reduce the tendency to distraction, we will expand memory, we will facilitate faster

learning, and we will be better able to stay fo-cused when we are under pressure, as well as facilitating the flow of creative energies.

We will also act in our time for leisure and fun, producing intensified enjoyment through some senses more aware and conscious, enjoying an immediate focus on the activity that we are de-veloping, improving our capacity for total com-mitment, and ignoring the unnecessary seri-ousness.

Of course, the world of relationships will be deeply and significantly, affected also by culti-vating more confidence in ourselves, more tol-erance, more sensitivity, more authenticity, to develop the mental potential, to optimize brain function by expanding the understanding and improve the ability to focus, to develop creativ-ity and intelligence, and the ability to learn more.

Our hour and a half classes are open to all levels and all physical.

Discovering Yoga is approaching your work-place, your educational institution, or other place if you have a minimal wide space, clear and airy.

Private lessons or group, long or adapted to re-laxing moments at work, or in teaching, the im-portant thing is that yoga reaches every person responding to their need and their ability to adapt.

In our group classes, a very gentle warming, soothing or energizing session, as required, and a final relaxation will be the perfect prelude to a simple meditation induced by visualizations or the sound of a Tibetan singing bowl.

In our classroom practice exercises will be as small capsules where we will focus on balancing the intellectual fatigue, the stresses of physical inactivity, lack of motivation, lack of attention, etc..

For Professionals of tension charged by their ac-tivity oriented to the public or under great stress and efficiency of production, will enter yoga re-lieving tensions and blockages that paralyze muscles, ligaments, neurons and creativity.

And even after the class we abandon the mats, yoga will have been in our mobility, our relaxa-tion, and our later activity for hours.

The feeling is similar to a new awakening, full of freshness, energy and clear mind, and our health will begin to prevent spoilage and will accumulate improvements as continue Discovering Yoga.

YOGA HAS BEEN WITH US FOR THOU-SANDS OF YEARS.

(A note about its essence and origin)

Yoga is the name given to the Union between the parties that have always shaped the Whole Unit.

This Unity is not created. Exists.

Shiva, with his drum of creation, carries the rhythm of an eternal cycle of big bangs, in which energy and matter meet disintegrate and eter-nally, in the Universe, at sub-atomic level, and at the core of our consciousness, generating awareness of the variety of what exists.

But in any case, the Unity remains in each of these planes and among themselves : so when, for example, we contemplate the sea largely, and we lose track of time and space, uncon-sciously we perceive the connection between our immaterial consciousness and infinite mat-ter. And that is Yoga. Like Shiva would do, the di-vinity emerges in us from our core, the place that has always resided in and always will reside.

Now we begin to discover through science that favoring the perception of this Unity is closely linked to the balance of our lives, in our bodies and in our minds.

More than 3,000 years ago, when even we identified ourselves integrated with all the Exis-tent, we could decipher, in the dances of Shiva incarnated, a language of the body and of the spirit that shaped the system of Yoga.

And the essence of the very system itself has brought Yoga to us, over time, as it relies on the elimination of the superfluous for finding the au-thenticity of Reality itself.

In fact, Yoga, as we have said, is just a name, as so natural to our existence, now and forever, the man appeals to the experience of oneness as necessary for our physical and mental integrity.

So much so that the practice of the various dis-ciplines that make up the system of Yoga, much of the time, recover, in us, experiences that, au-tonomously, we already knew.

And indeed, it is the practice of Yoga, by any of his ways, which teaches us to regain the look on ourselves, which helps us to rediscover our inner universe, and guide us to expand without limit in the existence of which already we are One with All.

In this particular case we have chosen our body. And it will be the Yoga which, naturally, meet our physical with our mind throughout practice. And each of us it will be who will understand his own way, in their time and spontaneously.

Yoga On the way we will recover the confidence in our strength and health, the welfare and en-joyment of our body, and the tranquility and the control over our mind..

Freeing ourselves from everything that slows us down, all that immobilizes us, physically and mentally, we will find the spirit in which we rec-ognized us long ago, perhaps in our childhood, and we will know how to distinguish what life has charged behind us, that destroys us, of what life has planted in our core, which enriches us and forms part of us.

No mystery, no complexity, the simple fact of the observation of what we are, reunites and resets our focus together with the very source of our being.

For body, we understand the muscular and ner-vous systems, sanguineous and respiratory, di-gestive and excretory systems, each and every one of their networks and connections, bodies and cores, and parts centers. All separately, all together. So our body and mind work as well acts Yoga.

We ourselves are a large system, infinite as the universe itself. Observe ourselves is like watch-ing Eternity. No limit on such experience.
