• Customer may have to take a day of work off because of car shopping and contract signing

• Customer may have to wait for a vehicle if they want to special order a vehicle.

• Customer may have to pay more for a vehicle than they already are paying.

Trade Off

1. While the building is being built – He is not making any money. So, no income.

2. Having to spend a lot of time at the building and getting everything ready to open, so he is missing time away from his wife and children.

3. Not being able to go play golf because he is working at the business training people.

Opportunity Cost

Customer will have to pay for gas in a vehicle to get to Lane’s when they can go to a more convenient grocery store.

Trade Off?

He gave up some of the family money to get things started. Then he had to spend a lot of time getting peach trees planted. It originally started out as just peaches and then grew into the business that it is today.

He spent a lot of time away from his family to start the business and then had to spend a lot of time away from then when it was started because of the growth until he hired more and more employees to do the job for him.
