The Department of Electronics

and Communication Engineer-

ing of ATME College of Engi-

neering, Mysuru had organized

a three-day Faculty Develop-

ment Programme on “ARM

Cortex M3 Microcontrollers”

from 14th to 16th December, 2017,

in association with ALS Benga-

luru.

The Resource persons

were Sunil V Shambatnavar,

General Manager, Harish V

Mekali, Technical Consultant,

and Nandish K S, Senior Tech-

nical Support Engineer, ALS

Bengaluru.

The workshop mainly

focused on ARM cortex M3

Microcontrollers development

along with how microcontrol-

lers were viewed with respect to

industrial applications. Mr.

Sunil T S addressed the partici-

pants with different solutions

available to accomplish embed-

ded systems. Mr. Harish V

ECE NEWS LETTER

Five - day National Level work-

shop on “Applications of Ad-

vanced Embedded System Us-

ing NI LABVIEW & AR-

DUINO” was organized in

association with NI Lab View

Academy, SJBIT, Bengaluru

and IETE Mysuru for ECE

students from 27th to 31st Oct

2017. The Resource persons

were Dr. Ravikumar A V, Asso-

ciate Professor, Chief Coordi-

nator, Shreenidhi and Nagarjun

Gowda, LabVIEW Academy,

SJBIT, Bengaluru, Darshini M

B, Asst. Professor and Kishan

V, ATMECE, Mysuru. Totally

200 students & Faculties had

participated.

As the finale of the work-

shop, MINI PROJECT COM-

PETITION was held. The first

prize, which was a cash prize of

Rs. 2000/-, was bagged by one

of the teams from CIT, Goni-

koppa. Two teams, one each

from GSSSIETW and ATME

won consolation prizes.

Industrial visit was arranged on

3rd Nov 2017 for VII sem stu-

dents to ISRO and HAL Aero-

space Museum, Bangalore. It

was coordinated by Dr. Mahesh

P K, HOD, Mr. Shashidhar S

resented ATMECE Softball team in the VTU

Rest of Bangalore Zone Championship 2017

– 18 at NIE Institute of Technology, Mysuru

from September 22nd, 2017 and secured first

Place.
