Department U3 Henry County Fair ABGA Sanctioned Boer Goat Show Saturday, June 24, 2017 – 2 Shows 1 Day - 8:00 a.m. Premiums offered: $2,535.00 possible open class premiums. Please note: The Henry County Fair has grown to become a very large Boer goat show. It is important that entry forms be filled out accurately, entries be received on time, and substitutions be kept to a minimum in order for accurate results to be recorded for ABGA points. Please contact the superintendent if you have any questions, and we will be happy to help you. Check in: Saturday show: No earlier than 12:00 noon Friday, June 23, 2017. No later than 7:00 a.m. June 24, 2017. Exhibitors must be checked in with the superintendent immediately upon arrival. Notify superintendent of special needs on entry form. Show Entries: Use the Boer Goat Entry Form. Do not use the general livestock entry form. Entries must be filled out completely and postmarked on or before Monday, June 12, 2017. Entry fees: Open jackpot classes: $8.00 per entry. This includes a $6.00 per head entry fee and $2 per head pen fee. No entry fee for youth showmanship. Exhibitor pass: $13.00 (required for each exhibitor) Each separate owner is required to fill out a separate entry form and purchase an exhibitor pass. No refund on entry fees. Health Requirements: A Scrapie Flock ID (Previously the Scrapie Premise ID) is required for all goat owners. In Illinois, call (217) 241-6689. Other states call your respective state veterinarian’s office. A National Animal Identification System (NAIS) Premise ID can be acquired by contacting USDA, APHIS. This is a voluntary program. All out-of-state animals require an entry permit permits available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at 217-782-4944. Market wethers and commercial does MUST have a SCRAPIE ID TAG in their ear. All exhibitors must furnish official health certificates as required by Illinois state law. Upon arrival at the show, health certificates must be checked in with the superintendent immediately. Animals are subject to rejection from the fairgrounds for appearance of contagious disease at the discretion of the fair officials. This includes but is not limited to severe diarrhea, pinkeye, sore mouth, fungus in any stage, or abscess in any stage.
