How do I know if my home may contain lead?

If paint is peeling, chipping, flacking, chalking or cracking dust could be produced, lead contaminated dust is dangerous and requires immediate attention.

Lead paint may be dangerous when it is on areas with heavy wear, such as windows, doorways, stairs, floors, and porches, because it is likely to turn to dust.

physical impairment, especially in young children, they are most vulnerable to lead poisoning.

Lead poisoning is a serious and sometimes fatal condition.

Lead poisoning occurs when lead builds up in the body.

Lead is a highly toxic metal and a very strong poison.

It is found in lead-based paints, including paint on the walls and windows of old houses.

Lead can also be found in some of children’s toys.
