About Department: Maharana Pratapsin Shikshan Sanstha Mumbai’s Anandibai Raorane Arts, Commerce and

Science College, Vaibhavwadi aptly renders services to the community by the way of providing educational facilities, particularly to the rural students. The Department of Maratrhi has been established in the academic year 1992-93 with the aim of developing competence in Marathi language and literature in the students. The department always gets a lot of support and encouragement from all the honourable members of the Management and our honourable Principal Dr. C. S. Kakade to conduct various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

There are two dedicated faculty members in the department and they always try their level best

for the all round development of the students. They always try to update their qualification and conduct research. They participate and present research papers in various national and international conferences, seminars and workshops.They are also ahead in organising and participating extra-curricular and extension activities like Essay comptition, tree plantation, Cleanliness Campaign, various social awareness rallies, etc.

The department has established Marathi Vangmaya Manda Literary Association which successfully conducts various innovative curricular and extra-curricular activitie , Lekhak Aapplya Betila, Marathi Rajabhasha Din, Marathi Bhasha Pandharvada,,study tour, poster exhibition, essay writing competition, poetry recitation, elocution Competition, hand writing and spelling writing competition, etc. The department also organises Seminars, Literitura Pragramme etc. The department faculty always guides and encourages students to go for higher education and prepare for competitive examinations.
