The college as a Centre for Professional and Academic excellence participates fully in all co-curricular activities organized by the Ministry of High Education, with the Ministry of Sports and Culture.
CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES
· All bonafide students of the college must subscribe to this
council Alumnae Association.
· It shall guide and advice the students on the best way to achieve
their objectives both academically and professionally.
MATI has an Alumni Association whose purpose is to foster a
spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of the
college. Alumni associations exist to support the parent
organization’s goals, and to strengthen the ties between alumni,
the community, and the parent organization. Activities of the
association are determined by the members. Students who are
through with their courses can register with the association
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
· The student council shall be responsible for the academic and
social Conduct of the students.
STUDENT BODY
· The student council presents students grievances to the
management for immediate action.
· The student’s body has a council called the student council
Headed by the student chairman.
· There is a dean of students who act as the link between the
management and the student body. 2. Lectures: The students are required to be punctual for
lectures. Those reporting for lectures late will not be allowed in the lecture hall
a) Theft: All students should respect each other’s property. If you are found stealing or keeping a stolen property or proved to have stolen anything, this will automatically get you out of college.
d) Insubordination: All students must respect all leaders in the college. Any form of disobedience will not be tolerated.
1. Dressing: The student should be decently dressed.
e) Silence: No noise is expected once students are in lecture rooms with or without a lecturer. Idle standing on the corridors is also prohibited.
9. Clearance from the College must be done either during or immediately after the final exams.
3 Class attendance: All students should attend at least 90% (ninety percent) of the lessons or otherwise they shall not be eligible to sit for the final exam. Absenteeism without reason will not be condoned. Students who wish to defer their studies due to any reason are expected to sign deferment letters from the office of the academic registrar.
I) Hugging and kissing is prohibited.
g) No student is allowed to eat, drink or chew in class.
7. Co-curricular activities: All students should engage in games and take part in clubs and societies and other co-curricular activities as defined and organized by the college.
Apart from such cases, the following must be avoided:
8. A referral sitting must be done within a maximum of one exam series, failure to which, all papers will be cancelled and must be re-booked.
4. Exam: Internal exams are compulsory for all students. They must also make sure that by the end of the course they submit research papers and/or sit for continuous assessment tests.

iii) Those found to have forged fee cards will pay double fees as a penalty
b) Fighting: No student should be involved in fighting if found or reported will warrant suspension from college.
f) Use of telephone: All students are not allowed to use mobile phones when lectures are on. Listening to music in the lecture halls is prohibited.
h) Visitors: No student will be allowed out of class to attend to visitors. All visitors are expected to report at the security desk for inquiries.
10. Project must be submitted before or during exams .Failure to submit on time will attract a penalty of Sh. 2000/=
c) Alcohol and drugs: At no time in college should a student take alcohol, smoke cigarettes or use any illegal drugs eg bhang, cocaine etc. possession of these items in the college is a criminal offence.
11. Those who are paying fees monthly, must pay the December fees in the course of the first week of November of every calendar year.
5. Fees: I) Fees must be paid on the first week of the month. Fees once paid is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Full cost of the course must be paid in full before clearance.
6. Discipline: All students are expected to maintain high standards of discipline while in college. Any misbehavior will warrant a suspension. At no time should any student use abusive language, exhibit rudeness of any kind or any form of truancy.
