Course Description: Dental Office team members are often presented with conflicting information on how to treat and maintain waterlines in their practice. This course will discuss underlying biological causes of waterline colonization by microorganisms, differences in between bottle-fed and municipally supplied dental unit waterlines, and possible means of improving the quality of dental water. ABOUT THE PRESENTER Peri Nelson graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology. Her research experience is in the fields of microbiology, genetics, neuroscience and biomaterials. Peri has educated thousands of dental professionals and students through writing, webinars, and hands-on training. She currently works as the Assistant Director of the Infection Control Laboratory with Dr. John Molinari.
